If it happens (chimp out suddenly goes down on your way to work or something) get the fuck behind cover and return ACCURATE fire. They will run when a couple die.

Don't assume. I know a couple former drug movers (bulk stuff, not street dealers) that knew how to shoot because it gave them an edge if they got robbed. They went to the local range regularly.
