What is a good snowflake marksman/sniper rifle?
I'm writing a little short story, I was thinking FG42... not sure

FG42 isn't a sniper rifle, dumb dumb.
The FG42 was never intended to be a sniper/DMR/Marksman's rifle.
The G41 with Zf41 or a G43 with a zf4 might do it.

It might have been on simpson. I'd almost get one to go with my EG Makarov.

They were pretty much all built for the British Military (as the L96) so there are very few in civilian hands so they fetch like $15,000
The later AW rifle (which looks almost the same) is relatively commonplace though.

The guy's point was that genuine PM/L96 rifles are pretty rare. Most people mistakenly call AWs L96, but it's a different rifle.
