Should I take this offer?
I listed my niggered up P228 (cerakoted) for $550 and got a trade offer for pic related. Guy is offering a like-new 2.5" 686 with 50 rounds through it, 40rnds of ammo, three grip sets, three holsters, two speedloaders, and two speed strips. Straight trade. Y/n?

You'll come out slightly ahead on the trade. I have a chief's special and it's pretty nice, but not fun to shoot due to its size. I don't consider it a range toy at all.

You make a good point, but chiefs special is a j frame. Smaller and less to hold onto than a 686, which will be much more comfortable with the same loads.

Oh ok, cool. I didn't realize they weren't both J frames. 686 definitely has nicer sights than mine too. Wonder if that would've stopped me from shooting the range's roof the first time I took it out. That was humiliating.
