thinking about putting one of these on my m500 instead of the regular pistol grip. can anyone give me some insight?

I've always wondered this, and this thread seems as good as any to ask about it: does putting a bird's head grip on a shotgun that initially came with a full stock violate any sort of firearm laws without paperwork? Probably a stupid question but I've never gotten a straight answer. For the sake of specificity, say my 20" barrel Mossberg 500 would be the example case.
I'm sure it probably has something to do with overall length but I've never gotten a legitimate answer

I have the raptor birds head grip.
I fuckin love It way more than the factory stock. Yeah It's kinda unwieldy, but as long as your not dumping a whole tube full of 3in slugs and not a complete fucking pussy, I'm sure you'll highly enjoy It. Also, from what I've heard, the AR type pistol grips wreck your fucking wrist.

It's called Kentucky carry OP. Massad Ayoob has some techniques with using PGO only shotguns. I keep a birdshead grip shotgun in my truck and practice holding it this way. It's real effective at not breaking your wrists but I wouldn't be making any precision shots while aiming over the barrel like this.

Its not as bad as you would think when shooting with it. I will say it is better than standard pistol grips on shotguns but only by a little. I put one on a maverick that I got for 110 and its more of a fuck around gun.
