Armor Thread.
Recommend me a new plate carrier. I plan to put ceramic level IV SAPIs in it. I understand that will be expensive. What's the consensus on the top carriers?

Ar500 brand has level 4 ceramics. And 3+ ar500s are good.
LBT or shellback banshees are typically suggested but I went with a Russian 6b45 because it was like 170 for a PC with soft armor. Its like 200-250 for the plates so I'll pick those up soon as well.

if you want the same carrier, then search Eagle SPC on jewbay. Can be had for 150 to 250 with included sewn in.
Or you can be gucci and get Crye, first spear, etc.

Does that thing take regular American plates? Or do you need special Russkie plates? Does it have side plates or just front and back?

I'm not sure, I'll find out one it gets here. It might be front only. The plates look extremely similar to American styled plates, but I'm not 100% sure. It has a normal looking plate and one in the dick/pelvis protector. I'll make a post when it gets here in a few weeks.

It does have front and back, no sides as far as I know, but that can be fixed as I remember someone offers molle side plate adapters.

sapi large is an option for the plate carrier so im guessing any large sapi cut plates will fit, may not be perfect but should fit.
