Do people actually use scoped handguns or is it just a video game meme?
They don't seem practical at all. If you want improved accuracy wouldn't you just use a rifle?
Yes, for hunting.

Hunting revolvers use scopes, handguns with scopes would be retarded anywhere outside of hunting, so the fact they allow you to put scopes in your video games is just for "muh so much content!"
For a range toy, where you have a stable table/ bench, sand bags, and various rests to settle the gun on... YES, a pistol with a scope can be very accurate, in the right hands, and it's a lot of fun. I am curious how accurate a snub nose can be. A lot of people defend the belief that barrel has ZERO affect on accuracy. So I'd like to see how a 8" .357 compares to a 2" .357, while being shot as accurately as possible.

I do
Ruger sells pic related milled and with a set of scope rings
Why?
Because accuracy
With 2x20 scope 100 yard hits on deer are made easily.
>>rifle
Because I like shooting all types of guns
Hunting and competition.
Or general range fuckery like myself
Do hunters use shooting sticks, or something to stabilize?

-Handgun hunting season is longer/has less asshats running around blasting away at rabbits ruining your shot if you hunt on someone else's land
-Some people find the extra challenge of handgun hunting fun
-Some people aren't faggots who think everything they dislike is a meme
Take your pick

That's one bitchin .22lr. My grandpa has a Browning Medalist I really like too, with a similar grip
>>28032845
You can
If you get a handgun scope greater than 2x magnification then it's very hard to hold the gun off hand
The image shakes because magnification
That requires some type of rest
A nice scoped .44 or .41 magnum revolver is a joy to shoot.
>>28032845
Sometimes. But not really common outside western states.
>>28032883
I've heard amazing things about the old school Medalists and the nicer woodsmans and shit. That is a 41 and used to be the only factory made option for a competition ready pistol. I wish I had the original barrel, all those old .22s are dead sexy in factory condition.

My family and I hunt solely in the Appalachian mountains, where a tree to lean on is never far away. Shooting sticks are really a waste of money in my area.
Why do you need to go hunting? You can just go to the grocery store for meat, they make it there.
>>28032845
Whats wrong with just holding it in your hands? Do you have parkinsons?
>>28032929
Yeah they sure are nice. Here's my gf first time shooting. Be nice. I corrected her positioning.
>>28032789
Is calling everything a meme just a meme?
>>28032819
Lot of ppl use them for competition shooting too.
>>28032961
Quite a novel way to hold it.
I have a scope on my concealed carry pistol
>>28032943
It's fun

>If you want improved accuracy wouldn't you just use a rifle?
not if you wanted compactness with no NFA hassle in USA
I have a browning buckmark, the handgun is identical to this but slightly different scope. It's a red dot scope or whatever they are called and not a magnifying scope, so don't know if that counts or not. But the thing is beautiful to me and a pleasure to shoot and not very expensive. It helps me with my other guns and form and trigger squeeze also which is good. It's just a .22 but surprisingly accurate for a handgun and has helped my oldest daughter (10) really start to get the hang of handgun shooting also.

pretty wood. .22's are so easy to shoot because they can make them with like, 3.5 lbs triggers. Centerfires... with 5,6 even 7 pound triggers.. and they aren't so forgiving with accuracy. That;s what makes single action revolvers so nice. They can break at what feels like 2lbs
>>28032969
Yes.
>>28033160
nothing makes 3.5lb trigers impossible for centerfire
>>28033368
This. I've shot centerfire rifles with triggers that break <2lb, and several handguns that break ~3lb.
>>28032828
Come back with pics if you do. J'd like to see the comparison.
>>28032877
That smooth cylinder disgusts me
>>28032789
I tried this meme. Didn't work well on my ruger mark 3.
>>28032969
I want this meme to die.
My 6" GP100 wears an ultradot, kinda wish I got a scope tho desu senpai
