rimed fired firearm that is very true, centrefire is fine

Oh no
We found one anon.

How am I wrong?

Ok to be far...
Most of the older .22 should not be dry fired because damage
Most modern .22 can be dry fired without damage.
>>28023739
The chances of it being damaged IS pretty low, I will admit that, but doing it over a period of time you will see damage.
I agree that most modern rimfire should be alright, I still wouldn't do it out of old practice, but I'm sure it'll be fine.
>>28023273
Jokes on you, the sear in my g36 conversion caused the trigger to stick until about a hundred rounds were put through it.
I imagine it was just faulty machining since I was trying to stick a metal US made part in there.
>>28023755
You have to dry Fire ruger mark 22 to disassemble
Go to ruger and smith Wesson FAQ and see what they say.
>>28023781
Maybe you should re-read what I typed, yea?
>>28023775
So you got a shitty gun that was poorly machined
And the problem corrected as the parts moved
That does not mean all guns need a break in.
>>28023661
At least it didn't explode with a bullet inside.
>>28023820
It once slamfired an entire mag because I racked one in too hard
>>28023675
>rimed fired firearm that is very true, centrefire is fine
Centerfire isnt always fine, guns like Colt SAA will have their frame damaged if you do.
>>28023818
Never meant all guns.
If this was someone saying as a general rule it's stupid, but not always wrong.
>>28023273
The slide on my p01 was so fucking tight until it had like 500 rounds run through it.
To the point I couldn't rack it barehanded.
>>28023828
Sure, but 99% of them are fine.
>>28023688
Try letting it slam on a hot chamber with a Mac 10 or anything else that fires open-bolt, and let me know how that goes.
I got one

Your face needs a break-in period.
>>28023826
Yep you were lucky.
>>28024132
Your face needs a break wind period.
>>28023630
this is so true with hammer mounted firing pin revolvers, i had 2 smith wesson firing pins break, one in an 686 and one in an old m36
>>28024336
That means your hammer needed a shim on one side. If you dry fire a Smith with a hammer mounted firing pin the hammer will hit the frame, the firing pin will hit absolutely nothing, unless the firing pin isn't lined up right.
>>28023698
you are clearly the retard, many 22 lr pistols like the bersa, if you fire on an empty chamber, the firing pin hits the frame
>>28024336
You are a kuck
Smith and Wesson says their guns are safe to dry fire
If you broke your pin hammer it wasn't from dry fire

My Pardini, Ed Brown, Les Baer, and even my Sphinx 3000 had break-in periods of about 500 rounds.
I think you're just a retard.
