I always wondered why transparent grips and mag windows never became a thing. Theres literally no reason not to, especially with how prolific plastic is nowadays, but the ASP is the only pistol I can recall seeing it on.

I wonder if I could shove an AR-180 into an L85 airsoft shell and tinker with the trigger and shit a bit...
>>
>>28020004
The only reason I think would justify it is the shooters hands would be covering it most of the time. You see it more on two handed weapons (ump45, AR's, p90 ect) because the magazine isn't used as or contained within the grip.

...now, why can't you have one of those? That's a couple pretty simple accessories for a Ruger rifle that's still in production. As a matter of fact, I think I might do that to a Mini-30, that shit's sexy.

>>28020730
That's a given. However, there were a lot of purpose-built functions I like. The magazines/grip panels (Not really possible on the majority of sub-compacts today, as most are possible), the sights, the rounding, the filed hammer (Though striker is pretty much equivalent), and mostly the aesthetics. Now its niche is pretty much filled, but it was definitely ahead of its time and still, today, just the right size, to me.

Why do you think?
>>
>>28019985
Don't worry, they're just as overhyped as they are overpriced.
>>
>>28020063
It's a neat idea for sure, and I have seen a "shadowland" commander 1911 using the idea. But depending on the type of plastic it will lose clarity over time.

And really how often. Have you stopped to check the rounds in your mag, ever.

It's a single stack compact. You shoot until it locks or clicks.

>>28020078
I disagree. It took a lot of tinkering to get these things to work, they were all more or less custom jobs and today polymer reigns supreme.

Slap a window and xs sights on a sheild and boom, mission complete

Still awesome though
