Do you use any specific mixute when you do? I usually just use straight gas for ease of use, but I've head you get better results witha 80%gas/20% diesel mixture

It's not all that bad. You could have a Hi-Point carbine and C9. If I had to recommend something, I'd say get a Milsurp rifle. You already have a bolt action, but a nugget could work. In my opinion, I think you should get a CMP Garand.

I'll be out posting for a deer this afternoon with the muzzleloader, probably won't even get one this year though. No doe permit and there's just jack for deer around this year. IMO, the dnr probably should have made all deer tags a lottery around here this year. I've never heard so many coyotes and seen so few deer in a year.

The main Cats are A, B, C, D, and H.
A is non-semi rimfire and non-semi or pump shotguns.
B is non-semi centerfire
C is semi rimfire and semi/pump shotguns
(Only farmers/pro pest controllers)
D is semi centrefire
(Professional pest control/hunters only)
H is handguns up to .38 or .45 cal (cant remember)
Most states have a little variation of those laws.
Single shot anything on a regular A/B licence is A-OK, even fiddy cal.
And of course the one that stumps everybody, pump-action rifles are ok, however, pump-action shottys are not
