I bet a suppressed rifled break-action single shot shotgun would be the sneakiest type of shotgun.
>>
>>27957598
Single shots are great for sporting purposes; it's the bubba of bubba guns.

>you only need one shot for trap or fowl; if you miss you wouldn't get a second shot anyways (I personally do not agree with this, but bubba thinks this)

>lightweight, good for teaching young shooters and good for long foot travel

>still accurate for a shotgun in sporting purposes

>cheap and simple

These aren't great for defense, but they aren't meant for defense anyways. It's a sporting gun, pure and simple.

Cheap, light, tough and hard to fuck up, fun to use, can use retarded homemade loads easily, can swing it close and feel like a badass (inb4 it damages it : don't care, it's cheap), very safe expecially with external hammer, easy to take down and stow away, can be shortened easily.

Did I mention fun?

probably the best SHTF rifle, with a set of barrel inserts you can shoot many different calibers.

I like single shots for teaching new shooters. While it's fun to mag dump like a boss, when you're teaching the fundamentals and want the shooter to appreciate every round, take their time, so on and so forth, you use a single shot. Personally I don't care for single shot shotguns but I love me some single shot rifles. It's my preferred hunting style. Not because I'm a bubba, but because I like to give the animal a sporting chance. If I miss and the deer runs away, that deer won. If I miss and the deer stays there then it deserves to die. If I hit the deer, I win.

>>
>>27957582

>>
>>27957582
I bought a single shot shotgun and .22lr purely for the fact it cuts down on ammo consumption like a mother fucker when you're at the range or plinking. Losing track and regretting putting 300 rounds through a gun in an hour is shit, but having the same fun, with 1/3rd the ammo, at 1/3rd the cost is great.
>>
>>27958529
This.

One of my favorite rifles to shoot is my late grandfather's single shot 22. I just use ear buds for earpro, because it's so quiet, and listen to tunes while I zone out n plink for hours. I hardly use any ammo by the time I'm done.

There comes a time in every /k/omando's life when he wonders if it is possible to fire spoons, batteries, or a handful of whole .22lr at that squirrel over there.

The answer is yes, but only if you have a break action shotgun.

They're light and recoil hard when shooting buck or slug.
>>

To be cheap as fuck I found one at Cabelas for 60 bucks. Just needed to be re blu and some slight work on the stock.

makes for an excellent pack gun when going /out/

Or if you got a lady friend who wants to shoot a shotgun, you don't want to take the risk of her dropping your 590A1.

Actually no, because tetanus is not found in rust itself, but in the soil. But since almost everything that is rusted was buried, we fused the two principles together for safety, but if something rusted in say, your safe or any place that do not contact the ground, everything should be okay

Yeah but the barrels in the inserts are only 6 inches long so with rifle rounds you get nothing like optimal muzzle velocity or spin. And with most having only a bead sight accuracy will be crap.

Other than the cost, it's mechanically-simple (less likely to fuck up when roughed up), with weight as a welcome bonus.

Plenty of countries armed their civilian militias with single shot shotgun because it's pretty much foolproof; it need less time to train village idiots to shoot one

Sorry you have no nands on experience with real life weapons anon. I can hit an 18" gong with #3 buck shells loaded magnum at 180 yards consitently. They would penetrate someone not wearing body armor nicely.
Then again being 11 years old your little body couldn't handle that recoil. It's OK little guy someday you're gonna grow up and be able to shoot guns you can actually hold in your hands.

Not the guy who posted it, but it is MY image.

I worked at Remington Arms a while ago and found that in a pile of junk.

Engineers and techs there do all sorts of tests on guns. Rifles are routinely shot with "proof" loads that are basically filled with powder. This is basically a super proof load that the engineers had made up for some keks.

>tfw your picture gets reposted on the internet

Way lighter, stronger safer action, cheaper actually usually. Like you can get a 10 gauge single shot, for about 200 bucks, but you won't find a 10 pump or side by side for that. They're fun too. I don't understand why NOT have one. Shotguns are kind of toys desu senpai.

Not really. I tried to avoid taking too many pictures of stuff for confidentiality reasons. But the Ilion facility is cool as hell. My favorite things are the 100 yard indoor range and the archive of guns. I could get lost in the place for hours at a time and no one noticed.
