Anyone know any good SHTF and hunting rifles? My budget is under 300, not including ammo, or work needed. Christmas is coming early, I've decided.

With that budget you're not going to get much. With black friday coming you might get a mossber 4x4, Marlin XL7 or savage edge for that. You're going to need a scope but I don't know anything about those. Failing my information, google "entry level hunting rifles"

Under 300 is kinda difficult if you dont wanna dip into .22lr.
They're not as cheap as they used to be, but a Mosin is still good for the price. Although, at that point, you're probably better off going an extra $100 in and getting a Mauser of some description.
Realistically, under $300, a pump action shotgun would be a better and more versatile platform

I would say a used ruger 10/22 and a used moss berg 500/maverick 88. You can find them for around $150 ea (used). The combination Would cover all of your survival/shtf needs. p.s.12 guage and 22lr are some of the most popular Ammunition, so in a shtf situation you are more likely to come across it.
