I am purchasing a FAL.
My options are: DSA SA 58 for around a thousand, or CAI FAL Inch Pattern for around 750.
You can see the conditions on each here.
I'm fairly certain DSA is the standard metric FAL.
Obviously with the cheaper model I'd need to ditch that shit thumb stock and buy a new furniture kit.
Which do I buy?
DSA is better quality and I prefer metric fals

pretty much WYSIWYG and yeah.

im personally not a fan of rails on fals but if thats what you want go for it
where 2 cop FAL mags? Surplus, not DSAshit
Neither
Don't buy DSA because you can buy an IMBEL build for the same price and have a better rifle. Go join FALfiles and lurk the marketplace.

And build it on a dsa receiver. Got it.

I mean you can, but I'd go for an IMBEL receiver. Gear or non gear, they're the same thing. My FAL is built on a Century marked "R1A1" IMBEL receiver. It's no different than the Gear logo receiver and it saved me like $80 because muh Century is shit marking.
lmao this website design

Not OP, but is there anywhere that sells the entire metric bolt assembly for something not an arm and a leg?
Hell, at all?

Different anon here, how good are the Coonan receivers vs. the IMBEL receivers? What I've read is that Coonan make the best receivers for the civilian market, and the price is the same as the DSA receivers so it's pretty tempting.

i went to the DSA pro shop today and bought an FAL, place is dope, they have an M2 right as you walk in to the left and the wall is filled with nice guns of all sorts, nice change of pace from the fuddy stores i see in cook county, and of course the fals are dope

Spend the extra dollar on the DSA. The CAIs aren't going to be as well made.
Anything wrong with the alloy receivers? I have one of those old DSA rifles built off IMBEL parts, and I done went and got a spinal injury and now it's slightly too heavy. The alloy lowered DSA's I've handled feel much better

You never answered me in the other thread, where did you find that N.E.E.T. patch, a cursory google search found nothing
>>27919349
Centerfire had Rhodie surplus for like $6 or $7 awhile back
Good luck getting that price again
They were 15-20 on FALfiles
>>27918848
youd have to replace the stock and grip on the century, so thats another at least $50, DSA FALs are miles above century ones, just get the DSA and never look back

2hupatch on storenvy, if I'm thinking of the same patch you are
