You very well may be right. They are indeed thicker and beefier than the circle 10 (more polymer) and supposedly uses a more advanced polymer. But they are reinforced in the most important places unlike the gen m3 ak pmag that is lacking steel feed lips.
Because I got 10 functional steel ones for like $90 from apex during a sale.

I bought 2 polish and 2 bulgy and that's the only one with a defect. I didn't email them about it since thats the dice you roll with used surplus but that mag had seen some hard use and I assume was dropped loaded on the feed lips.
Mag still functioned fine but it upset my autism so I kept the spring/follower as spares and torture tested the mag with a hammer, held up pretty well and there's a lot of steel around the feed lips which is good to know
