could this gun work in irl?
Easily. It's just a 7.62 NATO bullpup in a fancy case
Would not be able to hold 32 rounds in that mag though. 20 at the most.
>>27909449
Yes. Nothing about it is out of the ordinary.
The action it's based on, while obscure, is very real. Too bad we don't have a 100% certain understanding of how it works.
A .308 Korobov with a 60 round casket mag and F2000 furniture? No doubt.
>>27909462
Quad stack mags should do it.
>>27909449
Could your thread work on the correct board?
>>27909483
This is the correct board, you autistic aspie.
>>27909449
probably not of that thing in the butt stock is supposed to be the magazine
that's the only major flaw I see
>>27909449
>in in real life
>>>/v/
>>27909491
Your point being? How is that a flaw that would stop it from working?
>>27909503
theres no room for the bolt to move all the way back over the magazine
>>27909490
This is not the kiddie's fantasy board, sport.
>Tee hee, what if the moon had a sweet video game factory but was really alive and had lazers?
Fuck off, child.
>>27909503
bolt travel?

The Russians solved that problem over 60 years ago.
>>27909490
Not him, but it definitely is not.
Take your vidya shit back to mom's basement.
>>27909510
Hence why multiple people have already mentioned the TKB022.
>>27909510
Maybe it works like the kriss.
>>27909527
>>27909512
>>27909523
The length of pull is still far longer than OPs. I'm not even sure way the tkb does over a conventional bull pup besides perhaps moving weight farther back.
>>27909547
What does the LOP have to do with anything? Perhaps that would matter if the entire space between the magazine and trigger were being used for the action, but I highly doubt that's the case.
>I'm not even sure way the tkb does over a conventional bull pup
Longer barrel in a shorter package, even for bullpup standards.
>>27909547
Longest possible barrel length to overall length.
Since we already have this thread, would pic related work similarly to the TKB as well?
>>27909588
here is another angle for everyanon to consider.
>>27909588
>double drum magazine
I have no idea how the fuck that would even work. It doesn't even look like a Calico magazine, it looks like somebody glued two drum mags together.
If it feeds from the front of the drum, there's enough room for the bolt to travel like a normal gun. If it feeds from the back, you're looking at an action similar to the TKB.
>that ejection port above the grip
Everything about this gun scream wut.jpg
>>27909588
>>27909596
It would pretty much be the tkb with a bizon mag situation.
>>27909483
>>27909512
>>27909527
I'd honestly rather OP was given correct information, also like it or not OP is within board rules. Stop complaining about it.
>>27909596
looks like a helical magazine, so it could work because theres plenty of room for the bolt to move, assuming it fires 5.56
>>27909596
Cant be a TKB mechanism, no space for the bolt to drop into, but if it feeds from the front of the mag, it might not need it anyway if it had some sort of wrapping bolt. Bolt would be impacting hard on the buttplate though, not really a good design.
>>27909588
>>27909596
Probably would need cut it in half riding right across the top of the drum, lift it about a half inch and shift everything back about an inch or two, and then you've just gotta deal with reassembly. And that would be a pretty good lightweight bullpup in what looks like real fuckin' NATO or 8mm.
>>27909588
Terrible design but entirely possible.
>>27909462
>>27909475
It could hold 40 easily if the cartridges were straight walled. Bottle necked cartridges kill capacity.
A quad stack would be able to hold 70 easy.
Anything is possible.
>>27909588
>>27909596
Game wikia says inspired by G36, FAMAS, and MTAR so it's probably a 5.56 but I would not be surprised if you couldn't actually scale it to be 7.62x39 for added power with minimal gain in weight/dynamics.
Real fuckin' NATO would be a stretch though.
>>27909449
>could this gun work in irl?
mechanically yes, but it's still a complete shit design
> tiny little magazine (maybe octuple stack? kek)
> overly complicated korborov breech block/extractor/rammer nonsense instead of mechanically simpler traditional bolt
> trigger group and grip WAAY too fucking far back for best balance/stability
there's such a thing as diminishing returns on maximizing barrel length per total weapon length, and this thing is just too goofy for the small velocity improvements IMO.
>>27909672
bottle necked cartridges use less brass per unit of powder, especially when you take wall thickness tapering into account.
maybe telescoping plastic rounds will save us all someday, but there are good reasons why rifle rounds aren't shaped like pencils.
You don't even understand how much I wanted one of those as a kid.

HUD. Its 500 years in the future and irons are basically obsolete, thought there are BUIS under the sensor package. That was why there was such a backlash against 343 adding irons to halo 5, since it was transparently only done to attract codfags and shits all over existing canon.
>>27909988
b-but it never had single fire

I have the blank (no attachment) version of this that I can post later. Makes it way easier to contemplate.

Actually, most of them do, if you look at the in game model. Also, the DMR has a full retard switch.

The handguard on the MA5 can also mount an underbarrel grenade launcher, that's why it's so huge. We just don't get the grenade launcher in the games.
