Is Breakfree and Hoppes still the best?
>>27908376
Breakfree CLP I use for general cleaning. But I use Ed's Red for a bore cleaner.
>>27908394
Does it smell as good as Hoppes?
Froglube Master Race reporting in. Spend the extra money and get FL
>>27908406
No. It smells like Acetone because that's one of the ingrediants. You have to mix it up yourself with household appliances. It's based off the Frankford Arsenal No. 18 bore cleaner but with modern substitutes.

I left some Frog Lube on my 10/22 and I didn't shoot it for six months. things covered in caked up frog shit. I'll pass

Thanks m8

Sounds like you didn't clean off the old lube and probably put too much on. Never had that problem.
What is the best lube that works on both guns and bad dragon products?

>He doesn't like the smell of acetone.

He never said he didn't, he just said it doesn't smell as good as Hoppes

Some older bottles of Frog Lube lacked an oxidization inhibitor, no matter what you'd do they would turn to gunk in a few months.
While a lot of people like FL, once you start using it, you cannot use ANYTHING else without completely de-greasing the gun. What if all I had in the field was motor oil from a car? Not a good combo IMO.
Break Free, G96 Gun Treatment (Or their CLP), FP-10 and Weaponshield are my go-to CLP type lubes at the moment.
Weaponshield I really like, it's non-toxic and has a pretty nifty halogen based anti-wear formula. I've noticed that my SKS and AR stopped having effectively any copper fouling after I started using it, which is pretty interesting IMO.

I had no idea how much I needed this in my life.

What's the diameter in that bad boy.
Biggest i've taken is 2.5 inches.
>>27910620
Interesting, got any pics of your rifle after use?
>>27910726
I'd be happy to hook you up, but don't have access to my arsenal at college , except when I go home on the weekends. After I go shooting next, I'd be happy to make a thread though.
>>27910870
Do it, that'd be cool.

I just mixed up a whole bunch of Ed's Red. So far I like it, but of course I haven't used it long.
How does it work for you? Any downsides or weaknesses to it?
>>27908376
you forgot ballistol
>>27908428
frog lube gums up in the cold, for people living outside the south frog lube blows. also i detest a lube that cant perform in multiple conditions on principle.

>hoppes
Enjoy your cancer and having no way to dispose of the shit.
Hopes is dangerous and depreciated
>>27910720
Pics or it didn't happen
>>27911295
You have a source for that?
>>27911295
I honestly wouldn't mind cancer in my late 50s

no thanks
>>2791326
its for your other gun
>>27913264
What kind would be best?
>>27908376
I just switched to RandCLP from Hoppes. So far so good.
>>27911295
deprecated was the word you wanted
I've used Mpro 7 for most of my cleaning and lubing for years and it works fine for me.
>>27913837
Silicone would be better for guns. I don't know how well it would work compared to a real gun oil/lube but it'd be better than leaving a water based lube on your gun for it to rust.
>>27908376
Here you go, OP. You're welcome.

Yeah, I saw the other lubes. Nigga didn't link other lubes, he linked water based
