I would say you would want your back room to have a decent sized hallway leading down it with no doors other than yours at the end so it would bottleneck multiple enemies if there were. Also have the back room L-shaped so if they did overrun you and barged through the door, you could be off to the side behind some cover and have a small advantage there. Also, if you're a manlet, VC tunnels if you have a crawlspace with little points in the wall/floor where you can shoot from.

Simply build a concrete castle. 30ft walls with horizontal chain link fence 2ft from the top where there is a walkway and firing points with good cover. Go as high as you want with the keep and throw a CIWS on top. And maybe all the wall towers too? The walls should feature spaced armor to defeat heavy weapons, probably 1/2" to 1" steel plate spaced 1ft off the 14ft thick 1" steel clad concrete wall. Top it all off with 120mm mortar positions on the walls, remotely computer operated with manual operation also possible, and 5.56mm MGs in a similar setup with a motion detector for automatic function.
