Anybody hear how much of a failure gun control Australia had today?
>prepare for protest of lever action shotgun (2nd pic related) "before it enters the country" (again, pic related is mine) in the same square as the Sydney ISIS related hold up afew months back
>pro guns find out and plan protest
>they move it to a park nearby 2 hours before
>most guns groups still find out and react
>move it to a private room of government building
>nobody shows up but presenters and reporters
>only 3 pro gun guys make it in however
>standing quietly until given a chance to speak and then debunk everything with facts
>media rushes too them over the GCA party
>end up running anti guns stories everywhere about the "words that were fired today when sensible gun control supporters and gun violence victims were attacked by pro gun activists"
>fuck this country
>pic related is the GCA "mass protest"
like I said, muh adler
Is not the anti's that are the main problem it's the fudds that wont get of their arses to support our cause
>>27799421
agreed, "as long as you dont take muh bolt action"
not to mention inner city trendies that have no fucking idea
Well done proguns
Australia's mainstream is off-the-wall anti gun. What's up with that?
>>27799451
they will ALWAYS mention even petty gun crime in the US
the issue is that we have 1/15th the population, so to the person that doesnt take that into account they think "wow if we let guns like this assault lever action then we will have as many shootings as america"
....which if you divide by 1/15 it's pretty damn close to ours
Weird how reducing available guns doesn't reduce violent crime. It's almost like people were planning on doing it anyway using whatever tools they have available.
>>27799407
>>they move it to a park nearby 2 hours before
>>most guns groups still find out and react
>>move it to a private room of government building
So basically they're infringing on whatever [equivalent] right for strayans to peaceably assemble? Is there an equivalent written right?
>>27799407
My Adler.
Also the guys the showed up in Sydney today are absolute legends. Changing the venue 3 times in 24 hrs and they still couldn't stop us from getting a few blokes in.
I was tempted to buy tickets down to Sydney and go myself but had a meeting with the bank about getting a loan so i can buy myself 50 acres of land.
>>27799407
more from 10 news
keep in mind literally no anti gun supporters went to that meeting, literally every clip of the gun firing they had no permission for, and they tried to dance on peoples graves about a gun that has not done anything since the 1887

im sorry Ozzie /k/ommandos
im no joke, honestly sorry for you
>>27799474
This reminds me of that brady bunch rally in DC that had like 50 people show up, but they took pics to make it look like people were streching into the distance and the media reported "thousands".
>>27799474
Nobody is preventing anyone else from assembling

Most American crime stats are somewhat higher then ours. Except home invasions which we have more of per capita.
Of course their murder rate without guns is still substantially higher then ours so it's dishonest to compare the two outright.
They also have an extensive history of disenfranchisment of minorities that have created high concentrations of poverty and multi generational unemployment and criminality. Which when combined with the yanks hard on for drugs and war on drugs fuels massive criminal enterprise that is responsible for a massive amount of the total criminal activity.
TLDR: American crime stats shouldn't be compared to other anglosphere countries because they are very different once you look under the surface.
I gotta say, those adlers look pretty neat, wouldn't mind having one with an 18" barrel. When do we Americans get them?
>>27799511
the issue is that the US statistics that are plastered all around Australian news are gun crime, not just crime, honestly, does it matter if someone is stabbed or shot? the guy is still dead
but the media will force feed "Americans have a higher gun crime than us"....well no shit, but our general homicide rate hasn't changed since when some states actually had legal open carry laws
>>27799516
they are neat guns, hopefully you guys get the 16" in the states!
God speed, Ozzies.

>>27799511
It would blow their minds to compare with nz which has lower or equal stats in everything asides from assault and yet nz has good gun laws
and dont forget the 14x higher rate of black homicides compared to whites
>>27799484
Link doesnt play

>TLDR: American crime stats shouldn't be compared to other anglosphere countries because they are very different once you look under the surface.
It's disingenuous to even compare some US states with other US states. Vermont and California, for example. Some people just don't understand how fucking big and diverse the US is.
>>27799524
we are trying, about twice as many of us have licenses since the early 00's which puts us upto 900k total, with about 3m registered guns
however most of the people I know basically work on exposing young shooters
hell when I was a kid I didn't know guns were even a thing because we simply didn't get exposure because they were considered evil since 1996
but now that everyone has the internet and stats are freely available from everywhere and it's definitely growing in popularity, hell when I started shooting 3 years ago, my local range (with about 100 benches) was always half empty, now you cant go on a Saturday/sunday

>80's Australia - Mad Max tier
>2015 Ausfalia - European kek tier
Feel bad for them also, but they let it happen.
>>27799541
the media refuses to mention, that in new zealand you can still buy new machine guns, yes, they have to be registered, and yes, they MUST be locked in a hefty safe, but it's a shall issue license if you can get the paperwork
but an easy to obtain license gives you similar to california compliant AR-15's, a bit more paperwork and you can have standard AR-15's
>>27799550
It's all about preserving the narrative, bruh. Cant dig too deep or you might find out you're wrong.
>>27799550
Yeh NZ collector licenses are God tier.
I've been thinking about getting a Collector license here in Aus but I can only get Cat C and short handguns anyway which isn't really all that great.

>tfw nz media is taking on an anti perspective and trying to start up public hysteria pumping out about 2 american shootings a day

What kind of rube still watches television news? It's the 21st century equipment of the papers.
>>27799557
Cant shoot things on a collectors license but a E-cat licence for Military style semi autos is easier to get anyway

'Murican media is doing the same thing. I check the news on my phone during breaks at work and there's national coverage every time a gun goes off in the general vicinity of people. Meanwhile Bloomberg is trying to convince people in my gun loving state that we're responsible for supplying guns to gang bangers because of the lolgunshowloophole.
The ride never ends.

>Rapid Fire
Is this the kangaroo equvalent of "assault weapon"?
>>27799575
I guess its also far easier to report on shooting where they can parrot the same parable over and over again than actually go out and report on stuff.
Allot of the articles that pop up in the important section are literal copy pastes usally ending with something like "If we dont do something about our laws this is the path we will soon be going down"
Getting rid of guns has all but removed gun related deaths and mass shooting in straya. That's all that matters . You can't save a life with a gun, only destroy it
>>27799626
this is what keks actually believe
>>27799585
Yeah but it's something that has really only popped up with the Alder thing. I can't really recall the media claiming any gun was "rapid-fire" before this, normally they'd just talk about automatics/semi-automatics. They couldn't do that with this one.
Initially they tried to claim it was a semi-auto, which it's not, so they had to move onto this rapid-fire shit. It's kinda funny to see them parrot each other and get it wrong though, like an article I was reading today was going on about how it's so rapid-fire it can fire 8 shots in 8 minutes.
>>27799657
>like an article I was reading today was going on about how it's so rapid-fire it can fire 8 shots in 8 minutes.
Holy shit that's slower than a single shot muzzle loader.
>>27799680
lets hope that the technological advances that allowed level actions guns to exist never reach Australia.
>>27799682
>level

Sorry, had a bit too much to drink tonight.
>>27799534
>>27799511
Just show people the crime rates of other countries prior to gun controls. It's still lower than the US and usually doesn't drop after gun control. The gun control didn't do anything, other countries are just more peaceful by default.
Apparently the proposal to push all 5+ shot lever-shotguns to Cat D was knocked back today.
Yay I guess.
>>27800267
Yay we dont get somewhat more screwed.
Imagine how great it would be if we had an actual victory like removing Cat A/B registration or rolling C into A/B and moving D into C.
>this is what anti-gunners look like
Really though, things are looking up for us. The fact that we're stopping more anti-gun legislation from being enacted is a really, really big deal.
Because what it does is demonstrate to the general public that we're a big, influential group of people. Turning the tide a tiny bit is all we need for us to start getting a snowball effect like the US did back in the 60s.
Currently, we're winning. We've stopped the Adler from being outright banned, we've rekt the antis in the senate inquiry, we got paintball legalised in Tasmania and we're even starting to get the media on our side.
Remember to press the advantage. Don't ease up.
Anyway, is it worth buying an Adler now or should I wait until the 7 shot versions come out?
How much will the replacement magazines cost?
>>27800399
Replacement mags wont be more then 150 or so.
I would suggest buying one. They are actually really good shotguns for $800.
You won't get one easily for a fair while though, I think the wait times are sitting around a year.
I bet the owner of the company in Turkey is pretty stocked though because selling 12000 shotguns will make him a shitload of money.
>>27800415
Eh, I might just wait until the non-kek version comes out.
I'm only really getting it to piss off the antis (as well as HD and maybe some clays or hunting I guess), so I can wait.
>>27800422
Im getting a machinist mate to make me a 10 round mag for mine so will be fairly fun. Going to have it all the way to the end of the barrel just for those sweet anti tears.
I ordered mine way before the shitstorm about it was even hinted at. If I knew how big a thing it was going to be I would have ordered 6.
>>27800442
Put it on the 18" version so that the magazine goes out past the barrel, for extra effect.
>>27800448
Or I put a 15 round mag on the 28" barrel. Eats extra babies that way.
>>27799550
>machine guns
>California compliment AR-15s
>>27801453
Cali compliment ARs are for our standard licenses. There are higher levels of license for the more "scary" stuff
