Ammo is allowed in your house, it's just that the free ammo from the military is no longer stored in houses. Service rifles are also often no longer stored at home as well. Gun culture is still very strong in Switzerland.

Ammo is almost unregulated. You can buy everything non-explosive with an ID and a somewhat clean criminal record.
There are people that want to abolish the army, but they're a fringe group and not taken seriously even by the political left.
The conscripted army may or may not be worthless in a fight, we have yet to find that one out.

No SBR laws. Silencers and full auto are more strongly regulated but new production full auto is still allowed but actually using a full auto rifle at a range requires a permit each time as full auto seems to be culturally frowned upon. Silencers can be used all the time once you get the ownership permit but silencers/full auto require special storage requirements and the police are allowed to drop by unannounced to verify that you're storing things according to law.
CCW is basically banned, unless you can prove that someone has tried to kill you before.
