The light mount is magpul, and is the only mount I could find that even remotely felt good on the rifle. Tried the vtac mount, feels cheap as shit. The piston kit is really just because I've never run one.
The piston gun does run a shit ton cleaner than my DI rifle, which SHOULD mean it would run longer with the same amount of rounds thrown at it.
What problems dies it create? The only problems I've seen are the BCG rubbing in the buffer tube, which has been remedied.

You're likely going to have premature bolt lug wear and breakage.
Normal DI ARs use the gas to /rotate the bolt/ and propel the bolt+carrier back. But piston just punches the bolt carrier back and yanks the bolt against the lugs to rotate the bolt.

Placing it so far forward doesn't do that. And having a barrier forward of the hand doesn't make much sense on a handguard so long, and even if it were in place to prevent accidentally touching the barrel, it's installed backwards.
It just makes so many questions.

a PSA rep actually explained that they have two warehouses they ship from which causes the delay.
it all depends on what you ordered and when (crazy sales times slow down shipping also, obviously)

There are, but don't plan on flipping them up if you've been shooting. Those fuckers will be hot. You could put a fixed iron on there. You could also just get a new gas block/FSB. You could also just leave it be. You might make arfcommers shit their pants that you don't have backup irons, but oh well.

I really like the Daniel Defense one. If you want that sorta-FSB look for really cheap, you can get a UTG one from amazon for like $20 and they're actually not bad.
