Let's get a blaster thread going. No, not a "blaster control" RP thread, but a serious discussion about if these were real weapon designs. Let's start off with the DL-44. Where would the magazine/gas container go? And while the right-set scope makes for a better draw, it also makes using the damn scope impractical. I always just assumed it had some lock-to-side function kind of like a high tech magnifier that locked to either the top or left when unholstered.
Greedo shot first.

GREEDO DINDU NUFFIN WRONG HE WUZ A GOOD RODIAN
Star Wars is hella ghey.
>>27796073
this desu senpai
Star Wars thread?
>>27796096
>>27796096
Only if it's logical explanations of the vehicles/weapons/armor etc.
>Space SCAR
I hate when drawers draw cool shit like this and don't actually give them Deeces or something.
I really dig the original concepts of the starfighters
>>27796159
>>27796159
That looks very close to the final form, but I do agree that the OG McQuarrie shit has a tack of it's own. I particularly like the Snowspeeder concepts.
>>27796174
this?
>>27795845
The Dorling Kindersley exploded-diagram books are great for this sort of thing OP. It might be rubbish, but it's convincing rubbish.
>>27796202
too bad old republic is shit, they have some really neat starship designs
>>27796248
>>27796202
Yep.
>>27796225
Will look into, man that looks amazing.
>>27795845
>we will never play shoot scum with this blaster in Star Wars 1313
>>27796366
i thought 1313 was rebooted after it was cancelled
>>27796409
let us pray
Why are the prequels so shit, bros?
>>27796350
>>27796225
search "Star Wars cross sections" and you'll turn up a bunch. DK do cross-section books for all sorts of topics from medieval castles to cruise liners, but their Star Wars stuff is great too, really creates a sense of a living world and not just props. Some of the best kids' stuff there was, really fired the imagination.
>>27796511
Jar Jar Binns, that's why.
Though some of the battle scenes were pretty good in my opinion. Plus the whole Order 66 part.
>>27796619
*Binks
Autocorrect, what the fuck?
>>27796619
in my opinion, it needed more space battles
>>27796570
>>27796557
>>27796519
>>27796225
I adore the book these cross-section pictures are from. They are so god damn awesome. I just love them.
The "Essential Guide" series is another great book series that does something similar only it doesn't just look at ships and tech.
>>27796652
This. The Battle of Coruscant had so much potential but the real battle scene was only a minute.
>>27796737
that really bothered me a lot anon
Anyone else kind of wondering why there's suddenly constant star wars threads on /k/
>>27796511
Jar Jar Binks, crappy dialogue, over reliance on CGI, and some other bullshit I can think of right now.
>>27796766
>wondering
Nah not really. It should be common knowledge that paid shills of all varieties frequent every board. Hell some of them even
>do it for free
>>27796766
It's called Star WARS for a reason.
Lots of big battles in space.
Also a lot of the props used in the original trilogy are WWI era and WWII era weapons mocked up to look more like they belong in a Sci-fi setting.
Plus, Star Wars is just generally awesome.
>>27796798
why would decks manned entirely by droids even have air to blow them out when the hull is breached?
>>27795845
If you cant find a way to make a blaster you could always use this instead
>>27796755
God damn I loved this show
>>27795845
fuck blasters....
Where's my tie fighter?
>>27797248
What if organics came on board? Ever thought that the ship might also be used by non-droids?
>>27796766
Same reason why there is spooky threads and tank threads.
>>27795845
A lot of those side mounted scopes had an off set reticle to compensate for their location.
>>27796766
battlefront is out 17th
Would there be any sense in having a magazine filled with small one use power cells in a blaster, as opposed to one large power cell?
If your single power cell dies you have no weapon, if one of your multitude dies no big deal. Maybe a tiny amount of power from each cell can be used to drive a tiny motor to cycle the next...
>>27799800
No.
Since everyone carries spare power cells anyway.
>unless you want a star wars version of this
>>27796511
Nobody was there to restrain George and get rid of his bad ideas.
Wish there were more "operator" moments in SWTOR
>>27795855
Dont paint over history. Han shot first.
>>27800060
Earlier drafts say Greedo shot first
You can't deny that
But I still stand, Han should have shot first, Greedo shooting and missing at point blank doesn't make sense in the star wars
