Tokarev or CZ-52?
I have been wanting to get a comblock pistol in 7.62x25 for awhile now, just not sure if I should get a Tokarev variant (Yugo/Polish) or a CZ-52
I have a CZ-82 and I really like it (ergonomics, logical controls) but I heard the roller lock action can have issues, while the Tokarevs seem to be more reliable, if unpolished.
Anyone own a CZ-52? How do you like it?
The CZ52 is a pistol that should never have happened.

Got mine for 30 bucks from a buddy. Once you upgrade the extractor, firing pin, and the roller blocks you got a decent pistol. I also got these crazy brazilian wood grips that normally go for 100 bucks on Amazon for like 26.

Funny, I feel the same way about your birth. Faggot.
Get a Tokarev, I would go Polish.
I have a CZ-52 and a Romanian TTC, if I had to keep one and lose the other, I would keep the TTC.

But it literally shouldn't have
>action insufficient for 7.62x25
>ergonomics that are inferior to the pistol that inspired it from over two decades prior
>was meant originally for 9mm Parabellum, but had the slav caliber shoehorned into it without reinforcing the chamber walls to take the higher pressures into account
The CZ52 should not have happened.
I have a CZ52.
If you get one you will need to replace the firing pin and the rollers. Luckily both have new production improved versions for sale.
Otherwise the CZ is better made than the Tokarevs. Has an actual aftermarket. Is a single action only semi auto with a safety and decocker.

Interesting, what makes you like the Tok over the CZ-52?

Good to know that the pistol can be upgraded to better than new, have you tried any of that hot romanian surplus ammo? Assuming I will replace the rollers, firing pin, and extractor, how much should I pay for a cosmetically decent example?
Bump
ive got both, its a tossup. no issues with either.
the edge breaker will be what caliber you want. 9mak is cheaper if that matters at all.
sorry, i dont have anything substantial to add, but theyre both cheap pistols that work, an argument can be made for either.
once again, caliber is probably the biggest factor

You might be confusing the 82 and the 52, though there was a 9mm variant imported by CAI I am not aware of any 52 variants in 9mm Mak

Romanian TTC for $220 is a great value, if you're looking for something chambered in 7.62x25. They're reliable, durable, and hard-hitting. The feed lips are internal, so even damaged mags will usually feed. Shooters have used the frames for testing high pressure chamberings with great results.
The Toks are thin, so easily concealed. They also have a lower bore axis so the perceived recoil, and muzzle flip, is near to that of a 9mm.

Got a Chinese holster for mine, shipped for 7.99 on eBay. Has room for an extra mag, and a cleaning kit (or whatever else you would want to fit in there).
I use it for camping and hiking, and it would be great to leave in a bugout bag.
