I got my S3G and I've shot about 500 rounds with it now, and I'm not sure if it's right...the trigger pull is definitely lighter (with the light spring supplied), but it's pretty mushy, has some travel to it once the (minimal) per travel has been taken up, and fires.
The generic PSA LPK trigger I think was actually better; it has about the same take up, but breaks much crisper.
Perhaps I'm describing the difference between a single vs two stage...but I didn't expect it to be this mushy.
Wat do? I want a light trigger with minimal take up, and a crisp break.

Doesn't matter its temporary until new mount arrives and it held zero despite scope have been bumped, scruff on windage turrent cap can be seen on two of pictures. The mount pair came off old $500doll hairdoo scope and is forged steel, its very heavy for scope mount. Burris have god teir warranty i could literally remove the scope and use it to drive in nails and if it break i just send it in it will be repaired or new one will be sned to me and shipping on their dime if i remember right.

Fn makes barrels for lots of companies, they make them to different specs and different levels of quality.
Noveske and psa both get their barrels from FN and they both get the "m249 machine gun steel" barrels but i'd bet money on the fact that the ones for Noveske have better qc and different specs.
Bcm is popular for being quality and competitively priced, i don't know much about spikes so i personally wojld choose BCM.

It will be a carbine gas system though.
To compensate for this, grab a DPMS solid gas ring, they're 5 dollars and last far longer than most if any other gas rings I've yet to see, most average 10K rounds but you do need to do a good bit of breaking in to make sure it works right.
Second, military surplus iron sights can be found on Ebay for the same price as a Magpul, if not cheaper. I bought a brand new, still in packaging and oil MaTech for 50 dollars, free shipping. The one the Marines use is also the same price, don't know the name though, but they're both a lot better than magpul sights.
Otherwise, the PSA premium cheapo build is a great starter.
Great rifle to use for plinking and should shit moderately hit the fan, if you make the little investments in it. Good for you to also buy gunsmithing tools to start building uppers as well.

If I wasn't working on a half a dozen other things including drafting something that I'd hesitate to call the groundwork of a game for my Coding/Programming class for my Engineering major, I'd probably model non shit versions of every gun, taking heavy inspiration from NV and design the swappable parts as well, and throw the mod on steam as a possible resume reference for my ability to use 3d modeling software, as well as program.

I shot a few hundred rounds through a M4 in basic and ended up qualifying 32/40(with an Aimpoint M68 cco) on the 50-300yd pop ups, but I'm still relatively new to firearms.

The differences in gas systems are minor though.
Many say carbine is harsher than mid length on the gas rings that let the bolt function, this is minorly true but not entirely. Carbine also works well on shorter barrels while mid length for longer. In any case for any AR you build, replacing the gas rings is a very good idea.

It's one of those shitty Barska $45 scopes meant to imitate the old 70's optics. It does hold zero (For me, I left it in a hard case when not shooting or cleaning, and I'm sure the QC is garbage for them), but it doesn't matter because the cross hairs were not aligned properly and you can't rotate the scope because of how it's built.
It's just for shits and giggles, like this upper I was fucking around with. (On that same fucking Anderson lower. Seriously fuck those things)
I don't build for tacticool gucci reasons, I do it because I can and it's fun. Like playing with lego's and using all the colors to build the house instead of the right ones for siding/roof/etc...

I've experienced both the A2 and A1 sights, and it was nice having both windage and elevation available to me in one place without any need for tools. Also, the A2 FSP isn't as thick.

I agree at least in regards to the buttstock that isn't fucktardedly long and the pistol grip. Handguards, however, I have to give to the A2 by a country mile due to the brittleness of the A1's. I've gone through two lefties because their either cracked or lost a few prongs.
