True. They never made use of iron (let alone bronze) for their weapons. It's also important to consider that the Aztecs had no competition in power as opposed to the Europeans that had to constantly innovate to keep up with enemy advances. For the Aztecs, these shitty weapons were good enough considering they used them to keep the smaller nations in check and didn't really engage in massive battles where these weapons would certainly break. It's one of the many reasons why the Aztecs were so easily defeated.
