it was originally designed for 9x19, but communism happened.
the firing pin was made from cast metal and dry firing causes it to become brittle.
the rollers are a little too soft.
lucky you can replace the firing pin, rollers, and recoil spring. So the weapon will be fine.
the only problem you really can't easily remedy is the too soft metal in the safety and pin block. so the decocker is not to be trusted.

Just don't dry fire it or over-use the decocker, I never decock mine.
Mine was also factory rebarreled to 9x19.
