Been looking for a small hammer fired gun too deep carry at my job that won't allow employees to CC despite people getting gang stabbed on our property. Will I be upset with one of of those unissued Bulgarian Maks? And is there even defensive 9x18 around?
Just in case anybody here didn't get some from the last batch, Underwood has more 9x18 +p XTP in stock.

I worked for a company with the same policy but I always carried iwb at work. Bulgies will run just fine. Hornady and Buffalo Bore make fantastic defense loads. I carry hornady Critical Defense in my east German. Its pretty much the power equivalent if a .38 special with a good load. Both Maks and 38s have killed a lot of people.

don't get me wrong, the mak is an excellent CC gun imo but when I think deep carry I think super paranoia deep.

I loved my P-83 while I had it. fun little gun. everything felt kind of stiff on mine save the trigger which was smoother then it had any right to be. DA is also smooth but on the heavy side but less so then the p-64. I found it quite manageable.
overall, my only gripes are over the pants on head retarded detail strip and the lack of mags (though I hear J&G just got in a batch)

P-83 is more fun to shoot. Has a better capacity. Recoil is much lighter (though a few mags will still make your hand red.) Trigger (especially the DA) is drastically better.
The P-64 will be built a bit sturdier and have more holster options. Spare mags for the P-83 are $30ish and I'm not sure about the P-64.
I wanna snag a P-64 eventually but I like my P-83. Need a good holster for CC. All I can find are shit like uncle mikes nylon bullshit, generic multipurpose leather holsters, Remora sticky holsters, and an expensive hybrid holster from some company I've never heard of.
Will probably just make my own kydex holster because it doesn't sound too hard.
250-300ish rounds of Wolf WPA through it with one malfunction. That was my bad though.

That's not at all what I said. I have a sister who's skinny and she conceal carries a makarov just fine on her body. I can't even hide a magazine in my rolls much less an entire at. Hell I can't even hide an sks stripper clip.
