Honestly, against Russia? I imagine them holding out decently.
China? I imagine China would fare better than Russia.

He's referring to the fact that they weren't successfully invaded. fact is that they fought that war with dug in MBT artillery and mine-field- clearing kids. They would be absolutely destroyed by US airpower barring committed, overt SAM support from Russia. The real risk is they would destabilize everything everywhere. Hezbollah could attack israel, the PMF could sieze control of Iraq for the IRGC, and they could probably wing a deal with the Taliban. It would make Russia's hybrid warfare look like nothing.

Iran is actually military weak. I'd say they're about as strong as Iraq pre Desert Storm. Remember that many of their equipment are old and their military is held back by sanctions.
