I need a rifle that can fit into a fantasy setting with swords and dragons and shit, but also some modern elements, like jeans mobile phones and convenience stores.
Needs to be be post 1950s and pre 1990. And no picatinny rails, please.

AK variants, M16A2 and earlier versions, FAL variants, G3, M14, CETME. AR18, RK 62, Galil, Daewoo K2, and the Howa Type 64 and 89 are the only service rifles introduced in that time frame that I can think of off the top of my head. There's probably still quite a few more That I just can't think of.
