It was a real trip finding out that other people didn't have a constant, high-pitched ringing in their ears at all times around the age of 8.
You never really get used to it.

The ringing may be temporary or permanent. You won't know until more time passes. You undoubtedly have hearing damage.

OP here, I finally fell asleep. My ear feels kind of like a I have a toothache, the ringing comes and goes randomly. Am I going to be ok or should I have my doctor check it out?

This. First concert I ever went to I had the same problem after because when Slayer finished their set there was just loud-ass feedback that went for like 20 seconds before someone with brains between their ears shut off the microphones and my hearing was fucked for a whole week. Then lo and behold since then I get a slight ringing in my ears every once in a while. Nothing serious, but it happens. All because I didn't think ahead and bring some plugs.
