The Klanking may be beginning in Mexico. We must support them with information pertinent to their cause.

If anyone knows anyone in mexico, let them know they need barricades, and tires.

Admittedly, I don't exactly have up to date info about the situation in Ukraine anymore.

Needless to say, shit's fucked and did not turn out like Georgia... and let's face it, it was either going to be over in a few days, or turn into a long drawn out conflict.... and well here we are.

Honestly... the Klanking is one of the best things to happen. It showed us, without a doubt, that the people can rise up and take out a quasi-totalitarian regime. Doesn't matter that they weren't the most well armed country in the world. The Army stood by and watched while the citizens and Berkut duked it out.

All these pictures are a reminder that a lot of people are about to freeze their asses off.

It's funny how if Putin invaded, NATO might have even backed up Ukraine, but the "gradual" invasion achieved the same and no one cares anymore.

Also, the clanking didn't achieve shit.
>>

I think in the long term, getting rid of the majority Russian parts of Ukraine will be a good thing for the rest of Ukraine.
>>

>Also, the clanking didn't achieve shit.
It gave Ukraine a future that wasn't purely just being a satellite of Russia. Because ya know... that's been going to great for Belarus and Serbia.
>>
>>23687674

The funny thing is that everyone and their brother knows someone who works a security guard and has access to a shitload of AKS-74Us, Yet there were virtually no weapons on protester side.
>>
>>23687691

>I think in the long term, getting rid of the majority Russian parts of Ukraine will be a good thing for the rest of Ukraine.

They are responsible for a large percentage of Ukraine's GDP. Doubt that's a good thing.

>>23687702

lol, Ukraine is about to be much more of a Russian satellite current events considered.
>>
>>23687684

Ukraine and Syria are light entertainment because they're half a world away and never really mattered. So, it's just a soap opera. Mexico actually matters. So, it's obviously not going to get the coverage that it deserves because they can't afford to have people give a shit about this one.

>>23687685
>Also, the clanking didn't achieve shit.

They chased Yanukovych out, disbanded the berkut and got Putin riled up enough to invade Crimea in a move that probably had every fucker on radar duty in warsaw going "SHIT SHIT THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING!" and then sprked an long drawn out civil war... I mean I guess it isn't much compared to other conflicts, but for fucks sake they've lasted a lot longer than other fights that russia has been involved in.

>>23687707
Are you talking mexico, or Ukraine? Because at the point where things were getting ugly in Ukraine the protesters started looting berkut gear.

Mexico hasn't reached that point yet. They're still at the relatively peaceful protest point of things. Think mid November in Kiev last year right before Berkut forced the protesters out of the square the first time.

it got Pro-Russians out of Kiev and made their supporters attempt to break off, i'd say it achieved a fuck-ton.

the country was physically united but culturally and politically split. Now it's politically and culturally united and in the process of splitting physically.

even with this mercilessly destructive war, Ukraine is finally scratching the itch they were left with forever since.

>>23687729
>>23687684

the Cartel wars have been going for almost 30 years. Before Mexico it was Colombia, before Colombia, it was Panama, and so on. The American public was already told the story of the spanish speaking people killing eachother, and unless they were shown the true scale of the carnage and brutality that's been going on next to their border, they will never care.

they didn't care for all the massacres before, this one is only an exception for Mexicans themselves because, inequivocably, it was a cruel torture and execution ordered by the government's own corrupt tentacles. Now there's no sides except they and everyone who will try to stop them.

>>23687811

Thailand has a coup every 5 years, though.
>>
>>23687783

I am talking about Ukraine on automatic weapons. Getting Yanukovich out isn't as big of deal it seems. Poroshenko was a part of Yanu's government. qt3.14 Tymoshenko was corrupt as fuck too, etc.

Grivna (UKR currency) fell 3x against others. Oil prices went way the fuck up.

Not sure this was a good thing for Ukranians.

>June 24, 1932: The Khana Ratsadon party overthrows the absolute monarchy of King Prajadhipok.
>June 20, 1933: Phraya Phahon Phonphayuhasena overthrows Phraya Manopakorn Nititada.

>November 18, 1971: Self-coup of Thanom Kittikachorn

>February 24, 1991: Sunthorn Kongsompong overthrows Chatichai Choonhavan
>September 19, 2006: Sonthi Boonyaratglin overthrows Thaksin Shinawatra
>May 22, 2014: Prayuth Chan-ocha overthrows Niwatthamrong Boonsongpaisan

>MFW that averaged out to about a couple every 7 years

>>23687851
I think honestly before Russia invaded, they were trying their damndest to make things as peaceful as possible.. I mean for fucks sake the berkut and protesters stopped the fighting long enough for the fire department to put out a building that accidentally got lit on fire with uninvolved people inside.

I really think both the CIA and the FSB had a hand in it. FSB in paying off clankers to clank violently and to Berkut officers to instigate shit and act like the government was being oppressive. CIA in elections and formation of new gov.

I am not a conspiracy theorist, but a lot of stuff points to both.

Volunteers. You get paid if you have some rare/needed skill (artillery designation, medic, heavy weapons operator, pilot, APC driver/gunner, etc). At least, that's the consensus of those following the events and reading the posts/news releases by volunteer bat leaders.

> FSB I wouldn't be surprised if they were involved as soon as it looked remotely possible for Yanukovych to lose power (much less be chased out of the country)

FSB is 100% confirmed involved. It's not even a matter of question for me. Virtually all important "Novorussia" leaders are:

a). FSB officers that "quit half a month ago."
b). SBU Alfa (Ukranian CIA SAD / DELTA equivalent) who are clearly paid off by Russia.

Half of Ukie military command is bought too.

Nuland had a heavy hand in recommending candidates for the new government. If not CIA, then US gov directly / some other agency.

I'm not like I used to be though. My Syria and Ukraine photo folders and months and months behind, as is pretty much everything else. Most of what I'm learning about these conflicts comes from here since /k/ is usually on top of that, or I'm off to militaryphotos. Ever since I've arrived at College there's been less time for me to just browse the internet and gather shit about conflicts. I am hoping that around Christmas that I can organize enough of my photo folders and host them somewhere for /k/omrades to download at will.

Because Putin is pissy and is stuck in the 80s.

.....No really that's the best I can come up, that this is all because he's still stuck in the 1980s mindset of "The west is out to destroy us!"

>why is half of Ukraine suddenly Russian and want to join Russia

There isn't a concrete answer to this. Answers include:

a). All of the resistance forces are FSB elements and their paid bitches (likely version).
b). People feeling they will be better off with Russia because it is stronger than Ukraine economically and the Ukr government is historically corrupt. Russian gov is corrupt and this is well known to everyone, but they do a better job of moderating their theft.
c). "Ukr military bombed our houses, now we hate them."
d). "Kievskaya hunta" (Kiev gov) "is a bunch of Western puppets" paranoia shit.

Ask me if you have questions.

>US can justify military industry spending without endless war in kebabistan
>military industry no longer needs GOP candidates (the usual warmongers) to rake in shekels
>in case this backfires and Rand Paul gets elected instead of Shillary "Murderer" Clinton, Obummer has decided to import a few million more Democrat voters

Putin is just playing the bad guy part, at Ukraine's expense.

What is truly treasonous is how the government is willing to literally change the people voting for them in order to fuck up democratic elections.
>>
>>23688783
img his fucking stomach though.
>>
>>23688855

Arguably the West didn't stop playing either. US played a fair role in instigating the South Ossetia offensive in 2008. Granted, Russia isn't innocent either, because they have been going "lol do something, see what happens" for years, but that's a long topic. West also helped Assad's opposition, including jihadist elements, knowing that Russia has critical assets in Syria (port, early warning radar, etc).

Basically, I really have a hard time deciding who is the bigger asshole.
>>

>actually he is probably doing the West's bidding

lol no.
>>
>>23688912
Putin being the "bad guy" and causing a cold war 2 mindset is exactly what these fucks what.

He is most definitely doing the West's bidding.
>>
>>23688919

Explain the rationale behind your argument, who "these fucks are," etc. If your argument is that the defense industry controls the US government entirely, I am unconvinced.

War *can* be good for corporations, because military asset over-spending = public tax dollars, equipment and oil contracts later = corporate profit.

I am not following you overall. Also, what would Putya have to gain from following West's bidding. If you make a claim, back it at least to some degree.

There is no reason for him to want anything other than Crimea, which "Russia" wants, not Putin. If you are going to claim that Russia is a Western puppet you have to establish that Putin has something to gain from being one.
