Hey /k/, hopefully this falls under the subject of camoflauge and gear...
Looking at pic related, do you guys know what harness he is wearing? The one round his shoulders and crotch? I remember it being called a SABO or something but google doesnt help me.
And also, what is that he wears under his shirt? It looks like a thermal base layer but fuck wearing that in a jungle, does anyone know what it is?
And last question, can anyone source these two so i can buy them? I need them both for... Reasons.

BB's gear is a mix of different things.
There's parachutist harness going around him (pic quite related), something that looks vaguely like M1956 LCE's belt + obvious mag pouches, canteen pouch and buttpack.
He has this black full-body suit underneath his camos. Dunno if that's based on anything in reality.

just admit you wanna cosplay Big Bossu during Halloween. People usually just pull on Tigerstripe and a generic OD LCE harness, and call it a day.

Pretty sure Advisor's Type Tiger Stripe IIRC. Especially seeing as the Tiger Stripe in MGS V is the "Gold" variant of it (camo turned a sort of goldish color).

He wears some form of compression shirt, you can go buy one and modify it to be exact if you want but imho that's a pain and this is halloween and not cosplay. I just bought a long sleve shirt with a little bit of a turtle neck collar from walmart.
I'm prob gonna just fashion a STABO harness myself cause the real deal cost major dosh. I've heard of others modify parachute harness and getting pretty [spoiler]solid [/spoiler] results.
Also buy Tru-spec BDU's because on sale they are not much more expensive than rothco and they are much higher quality.
Well, i have the trousers, shirt and gloves. And i have a pair of 5.11 Recon's that look similar (kek) so i just need a basic parachute harness and a compression shirt... Anyone know of such a shirt that has a high neck and thumb loops, my interwebnets slow as fuck and im struggling to even post.

ALICE belt is not underneath it actually is held up by the harness. You can see how this could be attractive to the operator because of the very stable mounting platform.

Tru-spec makes a Desert Tiger Stripe that is as far as I know close if not exactly the same.

That's a STABO harness, a real one will run you from $250-$350. You'd be best off making a replica out of an old parachute harness, which is what I did.
The shirt just looks like a regular compression shirt.
The radio pouch is probably the hardest thing to find, the closest thing I could find is a Canadian WE-51 ammo pouch, modified to fit a radio inside.

took some snapshots from the ending video of MGS3 where he wears his black shirt without camo jacket. Could easily be any sort of polo-jacket or other long-sleeved piece.
