I've recently inherited the following firearms from my late grandfather

>three M16 rifles, two dated 1982 and one dated 2003
>one MP5K from 1992
>a Colt Python in 4" dated 1959
>several 1911 models from 1927-1998
>a PK machine gun dated 1972
>MG 34 dated 1944
>MG 42 dated 1949
>MG 3 dated 1985
>a Marlin Model 25 dated 1961
>a Marlin Model 60 dated 1963
>nine AK rifles, some beaten up and some in immaculate condition
>RPD dated 1951
>box of 20 Mosin Nagant M91/30's
>three Luger P-08's dated 1909, 1925, and 1944
>two Walther P38's, both dated 1942
>several Makarov pistols dated 1954-1985
>a very weird looking Makarov pistol with a separate two piece(?) silencer integrated into the slide/barrel dated 1967

What should I do with all of this shit? I can't store and care for all of them, let alone have the money to shoot or maintain them. I already went though with the executor for transferring everything, including the automatic firearms. it took a while to do all of this but I finally have all of it in my possession.
>>
>>30476750
Basically, which ones are really worth keeping and cherishing and which are expendable? I'd like to keep some of them, but really i'd rather have some of the money if these are worth anything significant. I'm poor, live by myself on about $600 per month, am on the autistic spectrum(high functioning aspie), and go to community college for physics. I don't have the money or really the want to have to store and transport these items wherever I go. I'm owned very little and I have all of THIS now to care for?!!? I just can't do it.

What is really special in terms of rarity and impression and what isn't? What is a special gem and what is common? I NEVER come to this board(/sci/ only) and never thought I would be in such a situation, but you guys are definitely the ones to come to. Thanks for any help.

>inb4 doxxing and finding where i live to steal it all
i'm behind several proxies and at a starbucks just to post this because I'm too afraid of how rare these items are. I have no fucking idea but it seemed like a big deal with everyone involved.

>>
>>30476770
I went through the entire process and it was very arduous and expensive for me but it was supposed to be for me so I just did it with the executor because guns = money. this probably makes me sound like a POS to you gun guys that really give a shit about this stuff.

>>30476785
Are you serious? Why do you say that? like what are we really talking in $$$?
>>
>>30476810
If it's the truth, you're talking serious bucks for these guns. Enough to buy a decent house or even start a business.

Or throw it in account and live off it for a decade.

Whichever you want
>>
>>30476750

Sell the ones you don't want to keeo. WW2 German guns(MG34 42, lugers and walthers) will probably have decent price because of all the collections and shit. Nuggets you'll sell easily because of meme magic.

You may get quite a decent amount of cash for MG3 as some people would love to have MG42 that uses relatively easily-available ammunition.

As for "will be expensive in the near future - the older M16's may, but don't have to.

Show that weird looking Makarov here then decide

you inherited hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of guns, and you cant find the money to 'store' them? sell one, and pay for the safes and insurance and have enough money left over for a new car
>>
>>30476750
also, if you are telling the truth, i would keep them. the full auto machine guns only increase in value because of the limited supply. sell them when youre ready to retire if you must. they will be a more reliable source of retirement value than your 401k
>>
>>30476925
OP if you are not lying about this shit, each of your your automatic machine guns is worth at least 40-60 grand a piece. the m16s and ak47s if automatic at least 20 grand.

so conservatively in automatic weapons with the belt fed machine guns you have at least a minimum value of $160,000 + whatever automatic rifles you have and their accessories. sell a single automatic rifle like an ak47 or m16 to pay for contractors to build you a custom safe room in your house with a state of the art safe and put the guns in there. they will only go up in value as time goes on

>>30476947
I don't know what any of this shit even is. It's literally sitting all over my shitty house in the bags I bought to bring them in without scaring anyone, no ammunition or anything, and now I'm having the safes they were in sent here as well by movers and this is costing me a LOT of money and effort. I'm literally reading the names off of the sheets I was given by the executor. I don't even know which names go to which guns other than the 1911's, the Luger's, and M16's only because of movies I've seen. I'm clueless and have had to google what's on the sheet just to see a picture and match the guns to the names.

I'm in class now so I'll check periodically but I won't be posting as much until 8 PM.

>>30477007
I do know that the assault rifles and machine guns are fully automatic save for three of the AK rifles. Wow, this is a lot to take in.
>>
>>30477034

well you have 6 full auto AKs...6x 20 grand = $120,000
3 full auto m16s...3x20 grand = $60,000
PK machine gun, MG34, MG42, MG 3...40,000 a piece so $160,000

so thats $340,000 just right there, minimum value. probably upwards of 400 and closer to 500.

box of mosins isnt worth much, maybe like $3,000
marlin rifles worth like a 100-200 bucks
1911 pistols could be worth as much as 4 grand a piece depending on date, the newer ones more like 800 bucks

colt python 3,000 bucks
mp5k if auto...15,000+
RPD if auto.....20,000+
lugers, depending on maker and condition...1,000-3,000 a piece
walter p38s...800-1200 a piece
makarov pistols...500 a piece
makarov with silencer...dont know but probably a few thousand at least
non-full auto ak47s...800 a piece

so yeah, youve got at least half a million or more in guns sitting around, you might want to lock that shit up ASAP

woah woah woah, hold on a second there nazi sympathizer. they're fucking full auto M16s and AKs. yeah OP, sell the stupid semi auto AKs to get some extra cash because they're useless. fuck but they might be some other rare as fuck shit that his grandpa bought for a reason and OP is too clueless to realize. fug. when we see pictures, we'll be able to tell what really isn't worth keeping and what's god-tier. I can tell you right now OP, the nazi machine guns are god-tier and YOU ARE NOT SELLING THEM. sell the crate of mosins. they're useless. grandpa was probably just taking advantage of how cheap they were at the time he bought them but the meme magic has become too strong and that crate would go for like $4000+ today. and then those maks could be east german or chinese, who the fuck knows. god damn i'm getting excited for this. a fucking MG34 and a KGB makarov lmao.

If this is real, then I a have a proposition for you. You have a box of Mosins. They're petty peanuts in comparison to the rest of your collection. Around here, we call them Nuggets. They're a meme gun, and a sort of right of passage for new /k/ommandos.

At least they used to be. They used to be cheap, which when added to their rugged design and large cartridge made for a great beginners rifle. If you can learn to shoot a Nugget, you can pretty much shoot anything. Now they cost the same as a modern, albeit low tier, hunting rifle. Its not economical or smart to buy one at that price, especially when they used to be under $100.

Now to my proposal. Since they aren't going to make the difference in whether you're going to be rich or not, and you got them for free, help some newbie /k/omrades out. Make a thread and advertise them for $60-$75 a pop, and make some slavboos/noguns/memesters very happy. Hell, even make an oldfag like myself grin with nostalgia.

It'd be the coolest thing anyone has done on /k/ for a loooong time. You'd be remembered as that /sci/ aspie who got to live every /k/ommandos dream, and spread the happiness around a little.

Consider it, at least. And dont worry about getting doxxed here, it's not that kind of board.

Congratulations on hitting the literal mother lode, your grandfather had one hell of a collection.

Ohio ordance works in Chardon had a all numbers matching 1939 mg34. It was listed at 14500 and took quite a few months to sell, mg42 go for even more for some reason even though they're way lower quality guns. some of you guys really need to do some price checking. Last m16a1 I saw sell was 16500, akm was 14500 and the mp5k was also 14500. That same guy had a m60e3 as well, it was 42000.

The mg34 is hands down the highest quality fa there, all hand made out of machined parts not stampings.

Tl;Dr somethings aren't worth nearly as much as they should be and some are worth way more.

Start here
http://machinegunpriceguide.com/

That site will tell you most accurate current value of all the machine guns. They are all probably worth at least 20,000 dollars each.

As far as what to keep and what to sell my advice is to keep it all for now. I know it seems completely overwhelming but all these guns are only getting more valuable as time goes on and within a few months you may have decided you really like firearms and you'll already have a collection that takes most people a lifetime to amass.

Whatever you do do lots of research first and take your time.
Here's some other good sites for help with NFA items and firearms in general.

OP if you're serious I'll buy one of your AK's for $600 and with that you can buy a safe a store all this shit. If you're not a wannabe /mu/tant.
>>
>>30476750
Space-wise, they're actually not that much to store. I'd wonder what happened to your grandfather's safe. Personally, I'd take some of the bequeathment and purchase at least a TL-15 rated fire safe. You have a very valuable collection passed onto you.

For the "disposable" portions, I'd say the Mosin-Nagants are easily sold. However, having a crate of 20 is still worth a pretty penny. At $300 a pop, that's $6K. Regardless, you could make a damn cool coffee table out of it.

I'd hold onto all the handguns at least. There's a lot of them, mostly common, but some like the P08's are very valuable. The others are uncommon and all of them (except perhaps some of the Makarovs) are worth a fair bit.

Also, don't store them in a storage unit. Don't worry about ammo to shoot them. If anything, you can buy a few boxes before a range trip. (Your local gun store probably has ammo for 80% to 90% of it.) You can typically purchase the rest online and have it shipped to your doorstep.

And there's a tax stamp for them floating out there somewhere. You can own them personally but contact an attorney known to the firearms community. Pre-1986 machine guns are legal while post-1986 machine guns (based on original tax stamp date) may be dealer samples only (to which you hold the title for, and can be sold if that is determined to be the case).

Otherwise, if the ATF approved the tax stamps to transfer the machine guns to you, then you're in fine shape and they're perfectly legal to take possession of.
>>
>>30476750
OP I would sell all the automatic shit ASAP. They are a pen stroke away from being banned, so if you aren't using and enjoying them it's just a liability. The mosins will go up in value, assuming they are in good condition. Make sure you keep some of the pistols to pass down to your kids.

Pro, you should try shooting all of your guns at least once. You may find that you come to really enjoy them.

Also if you're the /mu/ guy (I have to assume that you are), did you also get to keep the farm, or did the evil bitch widow take even more shit from you that she only wants so she can sell it?

Also, I would reeeeally like it if you let me have one of your AKs or one of the M16's for cheap because I am a poor fag who could never afford one of those weapons otherwise and the opportunity to own such items will most likely long pass me by before I can actually afford one. But hey, no pressure.

But assuming that you aren't willing to let a complete stranger from the internet have one of the aforementioned items for free/cheap (I wouldn't blame you, but a man can dream) there are plenty of places just online that can give you a rough idea on what they are worth that are easily located via a google search.

You're looking easily in the 6 figure range for your treasure trove, I bet you could scramble together 500,000 easily. (So you can definitely afford to let me just have one)

Anyways, in all seriousness you banked out big time. Take them out and shoot them all. See which ones you like the absolute best and heirloom at least a few of them because you have shit that is better than inheriting actual gold bricks. After you determine what you really want to keep, then go about selling the others. Because you are fucking made now.

Half of those guns do not have date marks on them.
Confirmed for bullshit.

Are we really expected to believe that someone on /k/ inherits a million dollar gun collection on a weekly basis?

We had a guy on here, which I assume is this one that posted all of the time stamped photos of the weapons that he inherited. So yeah, this shit can occasionally happen.

He wasn't even a /k/ommando. He was from /mu/ or something like that and only came here to ask about it all/force us to literally salivate and die of absolutely pure envy.

their entire value is in their legality, sport.

Okay, so maybe it happened one fucking time. But these threads pop up what seems to be every day.

That was fake
He was just some rich fag doing some serious self-masturbation and most of /k/ completely swallowed up his load

>>30481847
He's obviously lying
>a very weird looking Makarov pistol with a separate two piece(?) silencer integrated into the slide/barrel dated 1967
He did not inherit a Russian PB, sorry, didn't happen

And he has yet to post a single pic
>>
Lol.
>Anon posts about inheriting a bunch of rare and oddball firearms
>Not a single image
>Wonders openly about how much they're worth
>Posts something about how he's not sure if they're legal
>Even though he's supposedly already gone through the process to inherit them
>OP isn't aware of trust NFA ownership laws

Either troll or unbelievably stupid - either way, fugg u op

>Yeah I have a PB makarov!

Andddddd I've lost all belief in this. And if by some chance your grandfather some how imported a fucking PB makarov made for the damn KGB and SF into the US illegally it will probably sell for over 40k. Also your an asshole for wanting to get rid of these even if you can't afford to keep them, they are your fucking grandad's guns, learn something about guns and enjoy them. I have no interest in cooking but if my grandad was a pro chef and left me all of his shit that is rare and expensive I might want to pick it up.

Hello?

Wow /k really is the easiest board to troll.

Everyone wants to believe so badly they don't realize not a shred of proof has been produced.

He's an Aspie. Literally autistic. He doesn't understand relationships or care about people. His family's possessions only mean whatever they are worth in cash to him.

He has no feelings and can't attach sentimental value to objects.

Here's an idea anon; put them to work for you.
Find a local range that does rentals, and say that you'll lend them to them to rent out for a percentage of each rental fee.

You'll keep them, have them stored and cared for, and you'll make money.

I took it.

Contact NRA re appraisal, sale by them, cash to you, or som pieces they may want for their museum. Or contact Dury's Guns -- they deal with estates all the time. #unpaidad/noshill.
