Laws for carrying a weapon in your vehicle state that you can legally have a weapon stored without having a CCW as long as it is stored in a compartment that isn't immediately accessible. This means you can keep it in a glove compartment, center console, moped storage compartment, etc., without a CCW because it is enclosed in the compartment and you would have to open said compartment before accessing it (this is the readily available part). Considering a moped compartment is accessible by anyone because you can't close a door on a moped, I would make sure the compartment is lockable.

(5)POSSESSION IN PRIVATE CONVEYANCE.—Notwithstanding subsection (2), it is lawful and is not a violation of s. 790.01 for a person 18 years of age or older to possess a concealed firearm or other weapon for self-defense or other lawful purpose within the interior of a private conveyance, without a license, if the firearm or other weapon is securely encased or is otherwise not readily accessible for immediate use. Nothing herein contained prohibits the carrying of a legal firearm other than a handgun anywhere in a private conveyance when such firearm is being carried for a lawful use. Nothing herein contained shall be construed to authorize the carrying of a concealed firearm or other weapon on the person. This subsection shall be liberally construed in favor of the lawful use, ownership, and possession of firearms and other weapons, including lawful self-defense as provided in s. 776.012.

You have to have a license plate on your moped or it's not a vehicle according to asshole cops. But legally you'd win, there's a dumbass with a riding lawnmower walking free after a few bucks to his lawyer. Always tell the cops up front your armed and keep your hands in clear view until they secure it or decide they don't care because criminals don't typically warn you about that.

Op here, not from Florida, I live in a free state, and actually have guns. I'm going to my wife's beach house, why would I use a car or a motorcycle,when i can scoot around quickly on a moped.
