Love my 10/22, had it for 8 years now. I want to get a Knoxx Axiom stock to free float the barrel.

guess /k/ hates the 10/22

I free floated my barrel by bedding the action and full length of barrel in RTV and then i cut out the RTV up to the point where the balance of the barrel+action was equal. Then i samded the barel so there was no connection.
Took it out yesterday for my GF's first time shooting and it shot pretty well. We werent doing any serious shooting and the scope on in is pretty far from zeroed and it is a faitly shit scope but we were just iut there tobhave fun, not hit a can at 100 yards. In a week or two I'm going on my owm to zero it and run accuracy testing with several different ammos. Guessing itll hit abiut 1moa which is all i really need a 10/22 to fo at this time.

I got myself a Ruger 10/22 Collectors Series and I love it.
Added
> Ruger Sling
> Ohulu Harris Style bipod
> Replaced Extractor
> Replaced Bolt Release
> Bushnell AR Optics Rimfire 2-7x32 scope
> Vortex Med Height Rings
Super fun to shoot. Can't say enough about it. I might buy myself a Ruger 10/22 Takedown sometime within the next yr.

I have a 10/22RR. I haven't done anything to it but the one thing I don't like is how I can't put a sling on it.
Mine was my first gun. Has a Magpul Hunter X-22 stock and I modded the bolt release and extractor. Next are the sights. Suggestions? I'm leaning towards tech sights or a See All

Diopters.
You really can't get much better iron sights for a .22, pic related.

Until you go the scoped route
The 10/22 takedown looks pretty neat, if I ever get around to getting a .22 it's the one I'm looking at.

You guys really do need a scope to hit the broad side of a barn don't you?

To me its about learning how to use a scope properly. Anyway the guy said not bettee than irons, i was just pointing iut that you easily could do better than irons.
