Whatttup nerds, im going out looking for a a good midsize 16' barrel carbine tomorrow

Green Mountain makes good barrels for the money
>>
SCAR-16S is pretty good. However, be prepared to pony up the money.

Literally anything, you could poorfag a PSA build, pick up a cheap off the rack S&W or Ruger, etc.

>Course running
You'll want some tighter quality control unless you like guns that rattle themselves apart by the end of the day due to loose pins, nuts, etc.

Midwest Industries, Spikes Tactical, BCM, Sionics all have good reputations for hard use guns that can survive a thousand rounds a day.

It all depends on how much money you want to pay.

Noted; imma buy a prebuilt and then add mods later is kind of what im thinking

>>30316842
scars are great; but im not gonna drop like 3k-5k
Honestly, im in the area of like 1.2k to 1.5k ( Plus case )
Never owned a m4 / ar based receiver before. so this is a first for me

Nevermind I read the question wrong, check out either the MP15 sport 15 or the Colt 6920 for an AR platform

Check out either like a DDI AK or a Wasr 10 for an AK style

Scar 16s is superb, but heavy and quite expensive
>>
>>30316864
If you look hard enough, you can find SCAR-16s for 17-1800 USD. That's how much I payed for one.

Literally build a semi gucci AR for like $800 smackaroos
>>
>>30316873
That's a hell of a deal

>>30316857
Googling that now

>>30316866
Thats kind of funny because they are currently on my "look at this shit tommarow list"
Current list im looking at is ( in no order)

>colt le 6920mps
>S&w mp15 MOE
>Bushmaster QRC (ive heard bad things about long term reliability tho)
>Aramlite m15
>Ruger ar 556
>>
>>30316907
Make sure you can open the takedown pins on any AR556 you fingerfuck

I have had two now that required dremeling to not open with a mallet and punch

others I have fingerfucked in stores were fine

I would stray away from bushmaster post freedom group for QC issues

i'll keep that in mind, that could ruin a entire day of shooting.

copy that; ill knock bushmaster off the list
