just curious since i hear so much about Commiefornia banning everything.

I live in Vermont. We are arguably in the top tier along with Alaska and other constitutional carry states.

The problem here is that MA and NY transplants periodically try to shit up our legislature. We beat them back after Sandy Tears, but this upcoming legislation session will be rough.

Anyway VT in a nutshell:

>Constitutional Carry, Open and Concealed
>NFA is cool
>2nd Amendment in State Constitution, no fuckery about it.
>Law Enforcement are fine with our laws the way they are
>lots and lots of land to shoot on.
>>
AZ
>>
As far as I know, Mississippi has good gun laws.
>>
>>30279152
Alaska and Wyoming are pretty gun happy.
>>
>>30279152
Arizona has the least restrictive gun laws aside from Alaska, PERIOD, but only in the non-indian reservation areas.
>>
Louisiana is pretty good. Lots of fudds, though.
>>
>>30279152
AZ and AK are tied on least restrictive, but AK edges ahead since there aren't any reservations that ban firearms from their land
>>
>>30279152
Maine just recently got constitutional carry and doesn't require any special licenses or forms or anything
>>
>>30279217
False, VT, AK and ME are the least restrictive and most protective of them.

>Which State has the Best Gun Laws?

The better question is what state will keep the great laws they already have in place as the years go by.
Look at what the statisticians are saying about Texas going "blue" in 10 or 15 years.

Will there be any state that not only stays weapons friendly but is willing to physically stand up to federal laws stealing our birthrights.

This is what we need to start thinking about.

Why does it seem one needs to choose between settling down in a humdrum rural wasteland and keeping one's fundamental rights, or going to where the money and social life is and having to surrender those rights to make soccer moms feel safer?

For the money its better to just buy an AK imo, but if you can get em for 200 or under its ok.

I use it stock and with clips. The clips kinda suck. The sights kind of suck too. It shoots alright and 762 is cheap. Little less scary than them thurr azzalt kilhers. Also easier to teach new people on as it is more like a rifle.

one more thing, with semi auto surplus rifles and can be applied to most similar cases, make sure the firing pin doesn't rust or else it will get stuck in a forward position potentially causing a accidental charge or charges until the firing pin goes back, just a heads up. need a permit to carry open or concealed handguns. No license for rifles, but loaded rifles must be open carry. You can open or conceal carry firearms without a license in your motor vehicle, habitation, or place of business. You can also carry a gun without a license unloaded in a case. Atlanta laws are the same. I live in Dunwoody, which is a neighborhood north of Atlanta, people OC here all the time. I lived in Midtown Atlanta for years.

Only drawback is in the more populated counties like Fulton and Dekalb it can take a while to get your Georgia Weapons License because of the sheer volume of people applying. If you live in a small county you can get your license within a week.

Application process involves going to the probate court, filling out an application, going to the sheriff department, getting fingerprinted, and then you get a background check and you are good to go.

Whenever you buy a gun, you have to fill out a 4473 unless you have a GWL, in which case you are good to go.

Tons of people carry here.

I don't think anybody's tried. Wyoming and/or Montana might have passed similar laws, but same deal--nobody wants to be the test case.

I assume he means no state bans on NFA shit. CA and IL, for instance, have state bans on NFA goodies (except a few weird categories like C&R SBRs that got left out by accident.).

This includes suicides. Wyoming and Montana both have high suicide rates, but exceptionally low gun homicide rates.

Are there liquor stores in Vermont?

Must be because nobody likes Vermont.

Fun fact about Missouri, we have no liquor stores. Any and all alcohol can be sold in the same place. You can go to Walmart, buy underwear, a prepaid cellphone, ammo, milk, and a bottle of Jack Daniel's.

When my cousin came to visit from TN he was amazed that he could buy any alcohol at a gas station.

I'm gonna say Ohio, except for the really confusing laws about guns in your vehicle. I'm still not 100% sure, but something about not being able to have loaded magazines in the same case as a gun, they have to be in a "complete and separate enclosure."
