My suggestions for new ways to do olympic /k/ events:
pistol event involves .45 1911s, a knockout competition, both competitors in a stage get presented with 3 .45 1911s provided to them by the olympic committee, coin flip gets first pick. They must use each of the pistols provided to shoot three times at a target. Scoring for each pistol is 10 points minus the distance between each shot that hits the target in cm (so tightest grouping wins). In case of ties, furthest hit on the target from the target's bullseye loses.
next up is the tri/k/athalon - like current olympic rifle shooting events, competitors must do a bunch of physically gruelling tasks, including:
Packing a SHTF bag in a hurry.
Running cross country into the woods.
Shooting a series of targets along the way.
The big difference is that the competitors don't bring their own equipment, and must start from a "bedded start" - all competitors begin in small beds, thoroughly tucked in, and must disentangle themselves from the bedding upon the firing of the starting nugget.
They must then quickly get dressed and pack a SHTF bag - time is added to your final result for each item not packed into the bag.
Items include:
enough MREs to last a week
a kettle
5 rolls of toilet paper
enough canned beans to please ted cruz
bottled water
a dragon dildo of unusual size
In addition to the contents of the bag, competitors must carry three rifles throughout the competition.
1 Moist Nugget
1 AKMSU
1 M1 Garand
During the run through the woods there will be three targets for the competitors to shoot, failure to hit a target will be an instant disqual.
Targets include:
300 metres target shooting with the M1
50 metres broad side of a barn using the AK
half-mile prius shooting using the Nugget.
each target must be shot using the correct gun or it results in a disqualification.

The 50yd Artilleryman's Dash, team event.
Team may be of any size and must haul howitzer rounds fifty yards, one shell per person, one shell at a time, each person must haul one of the shells while the rest of the crew services the weapon, three shell minimum.
Teams will be graded on speed of shell rucking, per person; speed of reload; and accuracy of fire.
Shells will be live throughout the event.
The John Woo Gun Kata Carom
A series of automated drones are released onto the field carrying skeet targets hung below their airframe. The athletes must fire rounds from two pistols of any caliber, matched, or asymmetrical pairs, in alternating succession; green skeet for orange skeet for the left hand gun, yellow green skeet for the right hand.
Athletes are graded on accuracy and speed and may have as many reloads as necessary to eliminate all skeet, with bonus points being awarded for one-handed reloads whether the weapon is holstered to achieve this or not.
