This is the new general thread for California meetups, as we have a couple different things coming up, these threads will usually be posted up on Fridays, but this one is going up early.
UPCOMING MEETUPS:
Tuesday, June 7th at the Sunnyvale Rod and Gun range in Cupertino, CA.
Friday, June 24th to Sunday, June 26th at a ghost town near Quincy, CA.
Seperate SoCal meetup in planning stages.

If you are interested in coming out to the Quincy meet we'd much rather you join our Slack channel, where we can coordinate carpool and who-brings-what in depth, these things take a lot of coordination with this meet taking a lot in particular.

Our new meetup schedule is likely to be:
Monthly range meets centered in the Bay Area, either at the Cupertino or Livermore ranges
Big overnight events on BLM land every 3 months, possibly alternating between Northern, Valley, and SoCal locations.
GHOST TOWN MEET INFO
THE PLAN:
On Friday, the setup day, a /k/onvoy will be assembled and proceed north to Plumas County from the assembly point in Lodi, where anons from further south will be
able to park their cars for the weekend and shift gear and bodies to vehicles going the whole way. It is requested you bring a two-way radio to communicate with the
rest of the /k/onvoy, but one will be provided if you do not own one. Radios will be used for calling a halt if somebody needs to piss, calling out road hazards and
directions, and general chatter between vehicles.
The carpool schedule is as follows:
The /k/onvoy assembles in Lodi, CA, in the parking lot of Denny's earlier than 10:00 AM, and departs at 10:30 AM. Address is 701 E Kettleman Ln
The /k/onvoy makes a scheduled stop at the Burger King in Oroville for refueling and lunch, arriving around noon. Address is 855 Oro Dam Blvd E
And finally, the /k/onvoy will arrive at the site around 2:30 PM, and proceed with all the joy and merriment and such. SEE SLACK FOR MORE INFORMATION AND EXACT LOCATION.
Once the /k/onvoy arrives at the site, we will park, unload, and set up camp equipment for the evening. A short, evening shoot will be had before dinner.
On Saturday, the shooting range opens in earnest, and a hike will be organized for anons so inclined. Meals will be cooked and eaten in camp, and we will
be packing up on Sunday evening.

Question:
Hypothetically, if I was to "find" some 15rd mags for my pistol in my attic or wherever, can I legally take possession of said mag? Am I legally obligated to provide proof that I had said magazine before the ban?

Legally speaking no. "Finding" doesn't mean shit to the law. It belongs to whoever owned it when the law got put in place and you can't take possession of it.
As for proof - that is a gray area. They will have a hard time proving it isn't yours unless you are a fucking retard and either it was produced after the ban, you kept a receipt from when you "found" it or were still a minor when the ban came in.
They will still take it away from you regardless of charges as all assault clips are a public nuisance and can be confiscated/destroyed by any LEO.
That said I'm not a lawyer tho so you can ignore everything I just wrote.
Finally a meet on one of my days off, Driving to Cupertino is like two hours for me though.

Well what I did was I actually bought them before the ban at a gunshow.
