If you're trying to decide what a good weapon would be for conceal carry you need to take into consideration a few different factors.

If you live in a communist state where you are limited to 10 round magazines, 9mm might be taken off the list since you could opt for a .45 since aside from recoil control and lighter weight, 9mm loses it's advantage of having more rounds in a single magazine over a heavier cartridge.

So if you're worried about urban youth in your area, but you work a lot and don't want to worry about printing you could go with a subcompact. I am personally worried about your mom so what I usually carry is my dick.

Anyone can recommend a Lc9s pro?? How's the quality in the build compare to mp and glock.
>>
I have the lc9s and it's honestly my favorite handgun. Super reliable, lifetime warranty, made in merica! Shoots like a dream the only thing I had to get used to was the trigger pull. And it conceals really well, very little printing I'm guessing that has something to do with the rounded edges

Figured this is the best place to ask.

Thinking about picking up a p239 as a first carry piece. Anyone have experience with it or other sigs?
>>
>>30056550
Don't know about anyone else but basically the same lower and slide as my PPS and it's a fantastic fucking gun. In fact when I heard XDS was coming out in .45 I was all pic related and shit but it makes more sense as a 9mm. Yeah some trolls will probably talk shit about the PPS/Shield/XDS frame, but they've been successful for a reason.
>>

sigs are garbage
>>
>>30056170
>bersa

don't rely on a hue gun if youre going to use it to protect your life. Spend the extra $100 and get something that you can easily conceal and that isn't generally a garbage brand. Sure, some of their pistol lines are decent (bersa 380), but a lot of their production is complete shit.

no reason to take a chance
>>
>>30053598
>>30054319

My only issue with the lc9s/pro are the magazines. Maybe I got really unlucky but both my Ruger and MecGar magazine followers wore down abnormally fast and no longer activated the slide stop. I had to drill a hole and glue in a pin to get them to lock the slide properly as a hobo fix, but it works.

I'm thinking of picking up a semi for CCW, my main picks right now are a CZ RAMI and a Rock Island Armory 1911 compact(muh 10 round mags negate that factor) due to a combination of research and having both handily available to buy for decent price and try out.

generally a subcompact is not an ideal choice for your first CCW if you're relatively new to handgun shooting as they are very hard to master. I recommend the Walther PPS (gen 1 or 2) if you are looking for a single stack nine, as it's incredibly easy to shoot well and has a very nice trigger. It's slightly larger than the S&W shield and the Glock 43 but is similar size to a Kahr PM9 or K9.

Sigs are generally over-hyped but that doesn't mean they aren't good. They are more refined than Glocks and S&W M&Ps, and are generally just as reliable *If you feed them good ammo*. I have seen two sigs fail regularly in their first 200 rounds out of the box, but that can be attributed to ammo not being loaded hot enough (handloads) and a break-in period.

The SRT is generally good, but it has sharp edges and if you use the "power crease" method for pistol shooting it may pinch the pad of your finger.

If you buy one, I'd advise buying a plain jane model, then sending it in to the Sig shop for an SRT upgrade (but specifically request that they leave in the actual physical part that is the original trigger and only change out the internal mechanisms and springs) as well as investing in a set of crimson trace grips.

I view sig DA/SA, decocker only pistols as the tactical handgun system with the highest skill ceiling of any non-custom factory offering. The caveat to this is that the difficulty curve of training with them is quite steep initially (as getting used to DA/SA is quite hard for many people) and then *VERY* shallow because many many rounds and repetitions must be executed to properly learn to stage the trigger and to speed and tighten up double taps from the holster.

Admittedly, none of these archetypes of Sig apply to the 239, they are characteristic of the 22X line, but the extent of my experience with sig is within the 22X type pistols.

As for the 239, it seems adequate, but its inclusion of a manual safety and use of a shrunken browning (1911) type falling barrel action makes it a pistol I would not personally elect to carry.

>inb4 you're just a 1911 hater
I have full confidence in the full sized steel framed designs which follow JMBs original design. It's the shrunken versions that I am wary of.

FNX9. I'm a big guy, so it conceals okay when I can wear button up shirts, but the hot weather coming up is making it a bit difficult. I'll probably see if I can trade my poorfag 1911 towards something a bit smaller. One of those qt little Sigs look like they might be neat.

I carry an LCP almost always. Sometimes I carry a 92FS also.

From time to time I'll just carry the 92fs but the lcp is so small that I can just throw it in the pocket of any pants I am wearing and off I go. Hell, I cc the thing in gym shorts sometimes. I've done that with the 92fs too. Fuck printing. People think too much about it, the average person is an idiot and most people wouldn't even notice if you were open carrying the thing.

6 shots, 148 grain SWCHP. 1 more round, is one more round. But if you only have a 5 shot revolver and it can handle +p then go with a hotter 148 grain SWCHP.
