The ASBM kill-chain got a new and much more fortified chain-link.

Quantum encrypted communications and quantum entanglement, as well as quantum teleportation will enable ASBMs to become spoof and jam resistant, as well as remote controlable.

Bow down to Emperor Xi, peons! His Divine Grace and Son of Heaven commands you to leave Asia forever and never come back!

If it's quantum communications, why does it need to be in orbit?

>The first quantum communications satellite developed by China is expected to launch in July of this year. The Beijing–Shanghai quantum private communications line will also be opened in the second half of this year, according to Pan Jianwei, academic at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

>According to Pan, this milestone means that a quantum communications network will be formed, and that 30 years of research on quantum information will be finally put to use. Pan said that quantum communication between the satellite and the ground will be achieved for the first time anywhere in the world.

>China started developing its quantum satellite in 2011, and launched the quantum optical fiber communication network project, the Beijing–Shanghai line, in 2013. The Beijing–Shanghai quantum private communications line will cover a total length of over 2,000 kilometers, connecting a network of numerous cities including Beijing, Jinan, Hefei and Shanghai. It will be the world's first wide-area optic fiber quantum private network.

China launches Quantum Satellite
Technology is a sham
Satellite becomes space debris
Crashes into American Satellite
China shrugs shoulders and says sorry
Announces that Quantum Satellite is working as intended and they are launching 10 more
>>
So how long until everyone finds out it's just a tin can and a laser pointer?
>>
>>30044775

>That gigantic map failure.

lmao
>>
>>30044798

>Technology is a sham

Because it wasnt the US who does this first?

Let me remeber you that the first satellite and first man in Space werent americans as well.

Ohh, manned space flight and satellites are a sham!

If you need a special satellite to encrypt and relay the data you're doing it wrong.

You want to encrypt the data before sending it so all a satellite needs to do is relay. Putting all that processing power into orbit is a waste. True quantum entanglement communication wouldn't need a satellite to begin with.

The Russians were at had some semblance of parity. I don't see any reason to expect the chinks to just pull something like this out of their asses. Apples to oranges.

Not a chink or burger or russian.

But the Russians actually lead for most of the space race, it was just that big moon landing 1st prize they couldn't figure out.

When I looked up quantum computing at the AAAS's news site this is all I could get. It sounds like phony baloney.

Chinese technology level is dependent on the field of research.

Quantum research being one, and space research being the other: Article related; they nonchalantly build the world largest radio telescope to listen to ayys in 5 years:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/resources/idt-0192822d-14f1-432b-bd25-92eab6466362

Only because the Chinese lack some fundamantal technology with manufacturing, does not mean that they cant advance in areas that arent dependent on those, but more on fundamental research.

That's because they were rushing it. iirc the US was leading them technologically but wasn't hitting the milestones. American satellites were more advanced when they got up there. The Russians were further off than the Americans and each time they launched they were really pushing it to get there first. By the time they were about to launch a manned mission the rushing caught up with them and their rocket blew up.

In 50 years time, recycling old electronics for valuable metals and reusable composite materials is going to be a booming industry.

Even third world shitholes will have developing telecommunication markets and high demand for disposable and cheap smartphones.

There really isn't anything unique about that telescope aside from its size. Mega projects have been big in China and I'll give them that. To invent quantum computing when the entire scientific world is still struggling to wrap their heads around what's viable and what isn't regarding it. It seems stupid. We'll see though. I remain skeptical for obvious reasons.

People use pics like this to imply that China is shitty but in actuality that shit looks an awful lot like the fucking orcs of Mordor hard at work building their army. People forget you don't need to look pretty or have a full natural lifespan to die in a human wave attack for the Communist Party...

Sour grapes.

India looks worse than China, and noone complains because India is not an American competitor.

Japan during their growth phase was just as polluted as China, so was Great Britain or Germany during their industrialization phase.

China is building the foundation of being a superpower in mere 3 decades, of course there will be costs.

But they have become highly efficient at that lately. Gif related.

more like chinks hard at work polluting their entire countries coast, how do you expect to human wave when no one can see or breathe, lemme know when all them heavy metals you dump in the rivers starts making 1in3 of your kids retarded.

They passed that benchmark a while ago. Look at the quality of the chinkposting we get here and you'll see what I mean.

makes sense, chinese are heavily invested in quantum computers and ai, nowhere near as heavily as the west but still.

The only thing quantum about this satellite will be not knowing if it's still in orbit until someone looks at it with a telescope.
