redpill me on our Navy, /k/
How powerful is it?
What are its flaws?
Should I join it?
>How powerful is it?
Decently powerful, could be better, noone else has a comparable navy, maybe the chinks in 10 years
>What are its flaws?
They don't armor their ships, they think every ship needs to be a mult-billion dollar boondoggle, and the LCS doesn't work yet.
What kinds of people do you see at the range?
>The tacticool kiddy
>The old cowboy with a revolver
This video gave me a hearty kek too
i shoot by myself innawoods, only way to shoot desu.
I got drunk and made a knife, what do?
also are there any proper guides to knife making? all the instructions and videos I find are rubish
it's about time I bought proper materials and tools and made some nice things, I made this knife with a saw, file, scrap metal and a branch
damn nigga, that thing looks like shit. it look like it's made from some scrap metal and a random branch, and your only tools were like a saw and a file or something.
get yourself a band saw, a belt sander, a bench grinder, and if you want to do things that right way, a forge, anvil, and all the other shit needed for smithing.
>US military finds F-35 software is a buggy mess
>Tests jettisoned to protect schedule
>The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) remains the problem child of the US military, with some operational tests abandoned in 2014, and buggy software proving a headache.
>The US military's Office of the Director, Operational Test & Evaluation (DOT&E) has released its latest annual report, and the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter chapter describes the Department...

After hearing so much bullshit about the F-35 from people who genuinely believe that the US needs to start rolling out new Skyraiders I'm inclined to believe that somebody found a moth in the F-35's cockpit and the press ran with it as "BUG FOUND IN THE F-35: NEW AIRPLANE IS BUGGIEST SHIT EVER."
Have we or anyone for that matter come to the consensus of the reliable claims of the VP9? There are so many differing tests and results I can't seem to pinpoint the average. One test has the VP9 caked in hard mud and swamp:
The VP9 pass with flying colors.
While another, the MAC test has it failing.
So which one is it? Is there a middleground that we can all agree on?
VP9 is shit, an exposed striker channel for the sake of a worthless design to cater to politicians and safety sallies took a potentially awesome thing (a reintroduction of a striker fired gun into H&Ks lineup) and make it nothing more than a range toy.
Also sage for not creating a broader topic post.
VP9 owner here. For personal defense, I would advise against it based on personal experience. It is alot more picky with which ammo it likes compared to my glock or beretta. I've just experienced more stoppages with it overall.
That said, it is very comfy and the trigger's decent, so if you want it as a range toy than go for it.
Is there any reason to get a single action revolver, outside of collecting antiques and historical firearms? Also revolver thread. Looking for a home defense pistol and I'm debating on a revolver or semiautomatic pistol.
If memory serves me right, there's an instructor out in Arizona that teaches how to effectively use a SA revolver in today's world. It was an article in a magazine. I'd still choose a semi or a modern day revolver but it was an interesting read.
It's been a while since we've had one, and it's fun to see who is around you and find new range buddies.
714 here. If anyone is nearby I'm actually heading to mike raahauge's right now to plink with my AR, if anyone cares to join.
>mfw that happened In the next city over
have to wait another 6 days for my ar. going to ontarget on Sunday to get a range card to shoot it there, and probably going to raahauges next friday with my buddy.
>born too late
>tfw you will never invade & occupy a faraway land
feels bad man
You're probably an American poster, so you'll probably be seeing some sort of combat deployment in the coming years
Me on the other hand...
>tfw joining Canadian army next year after uni
And as of 2013 the British military stopped recruiting commonwealth citizens. Feels bad man
With clearly superior handguns like these available, why would anyone carry anything but a S&W?
From the elagant, stainless steel 3913, to the modern m&p shield, Smith and Wesson clearly is the best choice.
Glocks are beyond horrible to look at, are boxy, and their fanboys are terrible.
HK is overpriced meme shit
Berettas are okay, but still m&p wanna-be
Every other brand is shit-tier meme lord central.
Range toys are one thing, but if you're looking for a firearm to ALWAYS perform, there's simply no other option.
I'm not saying that plastic guns are ALL bad. I mean, the m&p shield does a pretty good fucking job.
But stainless just looks good.
Don't worry anon, if you sell all your glocks you could absolutely afford a nice stainless 4506
I know the feel. Fortunately quite a few seem to float around still
I don't recall ever seeing anyone on here bring up Larry Thorne...
>Served in Finnish Army during Winter War
>Served with Waffen SS
>Escaped multiple prison camps
>Snuck into US
>Served in US Special Forces in Vietnam
>Only American to serve with US ARMY and RED ARMY
>Also quite the escape artist
Is this real /k/? It seems like satire
What weapon would you use to protect yourself from some pure psychotic crazy person that is out to kill you?
What firearm do you trust the most to keep you alive from the deranged maniac?
Pic related is an example of one.
HEY GUYS FUCKING REVIVE ME I GOT THE RAIGUN IF I FUCKING DIE I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL QUITE THIS GAME!!!!
>Timmy it's dinner time
SHUT UP MOM I'M TRYING TO KICK THESE NAZI ZOMBIE ASSES AND THESE FUCKERS ARE NOT REVIVING ME FUCK!
>Player has left the game
Hosing someone down with fire should do the trick.
Faux news says this video was from a "FBI SPYPLANE".
Was it actually from a drone instead?
How will Drone use affect police operations in the future?
I guess I'll bump this one because the other one is 150 posts over the bump limit.
What the fuck was with the agent diving in front of the car? Was he thinking he'd heroically square up and shoot the driver, like they were going to make it through the snow and have a chase? What the fuck?
I got a question, well several.
Which round do you prefer? And what are the pros and cons of each.
I've got both. I like both.
I do use my AR for precision shooting over my AK, but that is simply because it's easier to mount a scope on my AR.
They're completely different rounds.
Different strokes for different folks.
Although .223 has it's merits, I find 7.62x39 more useful for my purposes. I can legally hunt deer with it (loads such as PPU SP's have excellent terminal performance), great barrier penetration, cheap surplus is available (Canada). There's all sorts of other nitpicky arguments one could make, but they both do roughly the same job. They kill stuff with supersonic projectiles. That said, they both have their own niche, and it's up to you to see which one fits your uses better.
