so the other day I asked you assholes if i should buy a Predator Customs complete lower with a 7.62 frakenupper with 5 mags and 500 rds for $600. keks were had. Well, i bought it, and it would not feed for shit.... until i ground off the feed ramp. I didn't even do a good job. 200 shitty steel cased rounds later and not a single malfunction. Why is /k/ so anti 7.62 ar if they are so easy to get working? Im beginning to believe you ARE all nofun poorfags.
>>28924222
>poorfags
>5.56 is more expensive than 7.62
>>28924222
I'am telling you right now, most people on /k/ cannot afford the guns they want, so they settle on other stuff. Then when people tell them their choice was wrong they sperg out, because they love what they have.
in general I always heard that the failure point in 7.62x39 ar's was the magazines, not the feed ramps. But im glad yours works man. have a fun time out their.
Because they look ugly as fuck, if you want to shoot Russian surplus ammo get a 5.45 AR
Why don't you ever see AA Missile launchers on MBTs (a la Command & Conquer's Mammoth tank)? The M6 Linebacker had Stinger Missile Launchers on the side. Why couldn't or shouldn't we do the same with an MBT, and cover a larger range of targets?
>>28924163
Because the US is not north korea.
M6 Linebacker for reference. It's a M2 Bradley that had the TOW Launcher replaced with a 4 Barrel Stinger Launcher.
Forgot the image.
>>28924181
Yeah, probably better to develope a vehicle for a specific task, and have it excel at it, instead of being pretty good at many things.
What would it take to modernize the USS Constitution in order to return it to active service? Here's a thought - it sails under wind power and is made out of wood, meaning it makes no electrical noise (meaning can't be detected by sonar) and the wood means it can't be picked up on radar. Stick some vertical launch tubes for Tomahawks and what we have is a stealth destroyer that can't be detected by modern navies.
It's basically a floating glider. It cannot be stopped.

Do you guys remember Meplat? Trail Snake?, Bat Guano?, Drake?, That fraud Hotaru Guy?
I remember some Narco in some south American shithole made a thread with timestamped pic of his field stripped PKM and answered questions, Black Hawk Down, and Way Of The Gun and lol MGS4 was the shit at the time, Mosins and SKSs were cheaper than dirt.
Good times.
Nobody remembers anything? I guess all the regulars left.

My girlfriend locked all my guns into a safe she thought I knew the password to.
I do not. All of my guns are in there. How do I get this thing open? How do I get it open without destroying it?
The last digit is 22.
Call her and ask her what the password is?
Call a lock smith, probably cost you 100 bucks
Process of elimination. Won't be too bad if you already know one number.

Windham weaponry. Lifetime transferable warranty, they stand by their products and shoot like a dream

Do they just make AR'z?
K31. It's a great rifle. Ammo is getting a little harder to find but it's good stuff. This gun has good sights, great trigger, and cool straight pull action.
How would you fight the HP wizards? Remember that they can teleport, have one hit kill spells, mind control spells, pain spells, and can summon kinetic barriers for bullets. Is it hopeless? Should we just bow to our wizard overlords?

Warning this video might not be for sensitive people. It is not graphic or anything but Mike explains things really too well...
Nogunz here. Went shooting back in September, got hooked on it. Looking for a really cheap gun to start out with. Has to be under 300, pref under 250. For now, just target shooting. Pic related, what I'm thinking of, simply because it's cheap and fairly reliable.

Why not get a Makarov?
Zastava makes factory new Tokarev clones in 9mm
So im new with guns can someone explain to me why hi-points are so hated? I googled what they are and i dont understand whats so bad with them
Unissued Yugo SKS for 425 dollars or something else?
Pic unrelated
>>28922201
Do you want an unissued Yugoslavia SKS?
>>28922598
I just need a gun I want one.
I like the historical factor of some of these milsurp rifles and the like. I even found a k31 for 299 but ammo is harder to come by.
I don't know if the 420 for the SKS is a good deal though, aren't AKs pretty cheap?
>>28922720
Where are you? $420 isn't terrible. Other factors: how available is ammo? Can you shoot cheap steel cased shit at an outdoor range? Can you feed it?
I would probably buy it, but I'm biased because I like SKS rifles a lot. I learned to shoot with Yugo ones, and wish I owned one.
What else have you looked at? What will you be using it for?

I plan on trading the surplus Hi Power and the Sig Mosquito for a Colt Peacemaker in 22lr with a .22 magnum cylinder. Which gives me an excuse to grab another 9mm. Im thinking either a WC 92G compact or a Sig P229 Legion.
sup.
I'm trying to get a good rig going for a Glock 19 + mags, and AR mag storage.
How do I into tacticool?
Also, is pic related any good?
buy a battle belt. those vests are pretty bad.
>>28921126
word. they look pretty garbage but I still though I'd ask. I feel like a belt would fall off easily what with all the weight but I assume thats not the case?
>>28921193
attach suspenders to it and tighten it down like crazy.
Hey /k/... so I came across this pic of an old Mosin-Nagant that's still being used in the war in Syria. It's 134 yr old and still going strong.
Are there any other old weapons still in (wide) use today?
Also, what does the writing in the pic say?
>>28921022
there are some Maxim guns in use in Syria
guess that is the oldest
>>28921022
Jezails have been found in Afghanistan and are probably 200-300 years old
>>28921035
Maxim? damn. any idea what caliber it would use? how would they even find ammo for it?
>>28921060
Yeah, I heard about Afghanis using muskets. But those are really few & far in between. Not exactly common.
So, in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars there have been 8 airborne jumps that we know of in theater, almost all of them were done by the 75th Rangers Regiment.
The 2e REP of the FFL did a combat jump into Timbuktu in Mali and last year a combat jumb into Niger.
There have been others by other countries, but overall just not enough to justify huge divisions and brigades spending lots of money and fuel on practice jumps for something that is basically obsolete.
They should leave it SOF units whose focus is that kinda things and get rid of it in conventional units and focus...

Yes, it is completely obsolete.
We wont necessarily always be fighting the low-burn COIN wars we have been for the last 40 years. One day we might need them.
