Who gets the most nutritional support? Who gets the best health advice? Are they at the same level and why not?

An athlete is going to be eating , working out, and recovering much better than people in the military. They also have access to tons of professionals.

>than people in the military
SOF is not normal military. They should have the same competition oriented support.
Completely different roles, not even comparable IMO. The aim of an Olympic runner or powerlifter is to perform at their maximum for as long as the event takes, the aim of SF/SOF is to perform at their maximum in bitter cold on a single MRE for days. They both get professional health advice, but neither is "better" because they are trying to achieve completely different things.
So I hunt deer and Hogs from time to time in the piney woods of Texas. I also wholesale slaughter coyotes on sight, due to their numbers and a current massive rabies issue. However, I don't see any reason or need to hunt the local foxes.
They aren't a threat. They don't usually wander too close to houses. The local ones are all fluff-tards, with the most damage I've seen so far being turned over trash cans. They also don't have a sizable population locally to need culling.
To anyone out there who does hunt them why do you do it? Selling...

You can eat them, taste good.
Just inserted it in salt, water, pepper and lemon juice for 3 days.
Then roast it and serve with potato, bay leaf and Sauerkraut

What part of the Deep East are you in, OP? Shelby County here. Headed over to Toledo Bend this weekend.
Personally I like it but it's kinda like putting a cartoon character on a pack or cigarettes.
I like it.
Might as well have fun with your toys.

>on a glock
It looks like something out of idiocracy.
I personally like it when guns don't display their logo feces all over the gun, so it's easier to judge how it shoots without prejudice.

Whatevs leave it out for the kids to play with. I'm sure somebody will learn somthing.
if muscles are very important to stand the g forces
how come there are women fighter pilots?
not /r9k/ tier question
im just geniuinly interested
>>29234808
their hearts are closer to their brains making them less susceptible to blacking out
>>29234813
If this is correct that's pretty cool.
>>29234808
Net amount of muscle isn't as important as the ratio of strength to weight.
The weight of the pilot's body parts is what determines how much force is needed to counteract G forces.
Not like infantry where a 140 pound woman has to hump largely the same 100 pound load as a 200 pound man, and maybe carry the bigger man in an emergency.
How long do you think a conventional automatic rifle (such as the M16A4, which uses 5.56x45mm NATO rounds) could fire in the vacuum of space before heat becomes a limiting factor?
Granted, it's possible the lubrication might freeze before you can fire a shot, so let's assume the gun starts at ambient room temperature. If the round uses 55 grain powder (average amount for a 5.56x45mm) and gunpowder has a specific energy of 3 MJ/kg, then simple math tells us that each round will produce 10.7 kJ of heat (not all of which would be transferred into the gun itself,...

Nigger it's 3am and I've been drinking quit with that shit
In all seriousness though the answer is 4
>>29234317
You also forgot the fact that the casing also helps eject heat
>>29234385
Shit, I should have been more considerate. Sorry everyone.
>>29234403
Ah, right - which would reduce heat even further.
Does anyone know how long you could fire full-auto in normal conditions? It might give some idea as to the upper limit, regardless of atmosphere.
Just watched ant man and noticed this
feel free to express your anger
>expecting anything better from a capeshit
>the scene calls for the ants to disable the gun's hammer
>props says all they have are Glocks, the stainless Beretta won't be in until next week
>Shit, we gotta film now though, just do a close up of a similar looking gun that has an exposed hammer
>Good idea, no one but people on /k/ will care.
Consider for a moment, that you are not the target audience for this film.

Holy shit, calm down Captain Autism.
What's a good pellet rifle to get to plink in my backward and kill pigeons with (maybe squirrels too).
are these $30 chinese ones ok? I've seen around and there are rifles from $30 up to $2000. Also, what about calibers? .22 wil do fine right?

This one comes with a scope. Apparently it's much better.

What does /k/ think about single action revolvers as a first gun?
>>29233590
Unless you're getting one of those cheap "kit" guns that shoots black powder to avoid the background check, why?
>>29233609
because they look like they could be fun to play with?
>>29233609
I see it as a learning gun, if you're shooting anything above .22 use light loads.
It requires you to take time to shoot, and I'm sure there a load of videos showing you how to mod it for faster cocking adn faster precision.
So, whats the state of mercenaries today? It seems like 50% of Africa's population in the 60's and 70's was made up of them, and looking at American gun culture of the 80's up to the Clinton AWB was fairly heavily focused on the "aviators and black jackets" crowd of operators.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bxE6MZlxGQ
But aside from the occasional passing mention Blackwater (which is an organized group, not individual mercs), it seems like Guns-for-Hire are a dead breed, is that true or am I just living under a rock?
>>29233451
>So, whats the state of mercenaries today?
It's still illegal. Largely due to what happened inthe 60's-70's
>it seems like Guns-for-Hire are a dead breed
They're not. Simply illegal
As for PMC's they are very legal. They're just memefully labelled as Mercenaries by the media despite the fact that they can't into offensive ops.
They're literally heavily armed mall cops, anon.
>>29233474
>It's still illegal. Largely due to what happened inthe 60's-70's
well that would explain that I suppose.
Illegal according to who? What happens if a government/group says fuck the police and hires mercs anyways?
>>29233525
Illegal according to the US. Apparently if you become a merc you can't come back in
Alright /k/, I love the smell of Hoppes No. 9 so much that it's starting to become a problem. Any other reccomendations on other bore cleaners?
>>29233327
I use vinegar to clean my bores, it breaks down grease so the bullet can travel through smoothly and uninterrupted. Really helped me with my accuracy, now I can shoot MOA at 50 yards bench.
>>29233353
>I can shoot MOA at 50 yards
So...2 MOA?
>>29233353
>MOAat 50 yards

So you never hear of shootings normally because "lol gunlaws work" and the Australian media shows every US shooting to make themselves feel better
The shooting rate has not changed but now with Australia's NFA review coming up every media station is reporting on every single shooting and now i hear "i was watching channel *** last night and they said the gun lobby is eroding our gun laws! Thats why there's been so many shootings!"

Is .40 S&W a dying caliber? Should I even bother buying a cheap police-trade .40 cal if I already have 9mm and .45 handguns?
You'd be the coolest guy in your hood
>>29232607
the only reason for the caliber these days are making major in USPSA Limited
.40cal is more expensive to shoot than 9mm.
Other than that there it is better in every way.
Assuming that is, that you haven't put it in a gun that's too small to hold onto. In a Glock 23 or larger gun, it's perfectly easy to handle and be extremely accurate with it.
I've had no bad experience with .40 but would not recommend it in a very small gun.
I also would recommend 9mm to a shooter on a budget because it makes range trips cheaper and if you are practicing a lot, that ads up.
If you aren't practicing a lot and you are getting a...

The US built over fifty thousand ships during WWII, even though most were cargo ships and not warships. But I was curious - that's enough ships so that you can line them up end to end to form a bridge.
Why didn't we just form a bridge out of aircraft carriers between the US and Japan during WWII to start a land invasion, instead of planning out this gigantic amphibious assault plan? This way you could literally drive the tank from the factory across the aircraft carrier bridge and into the battle, and you could even move the bridge to change your landing point....

>Why didn't we slowly build a single route of access that's easily destroyed and will be known far before it reaches land, funneling our troops into a single thin choke the Japanese will know about months in advance.
Seems like a great plan to me.
>>29231285
if it came under attack all they'd have to do is uncouple for a bit and you'd have hundreds of aircraft carriers ready to defend the bridge and deploy fighters
