Just ordered one of these
How did I do?
Im upset because its not a CZ 750, but not too bad anon
>>29239727
Not too bad. The gun itself is sturdy and reliable, plus the trigger can easily be upgraded or replaced.
The newer 455 models usually have better triggers and smoother bolts, plus can use different barrels for 17hmr and 22wmr.
I got a 455 synthetic a month ago and am very happy with it. Only downside is the reversed safety - safe is forward, fire is towards the shooter. Usually it is the other way around.
>>29239727
Upset because its not the 750
I am considering getting this gun, ARX 160 by Beretta, with an angled grip, are there any down-sides to this particular firearm? Anyone who owns it tell me whether or not they are satisfied with it?
It's just a really fat, ugly, crappy AR-15. Why bother?
The fact that someone OK'd that bulky abortion never ceases to amuse me.
>>29239685
Its not the 160 senpai.
You mean the ARX100?
Its a great fucking rifle. Look up the torture tests and reliability tests. Its insane.
Great ergonomics and its a badass choice all around.
Everything you want in a rifle.
Protip; Replace the polymer sights with Troy micro Tritium's.
So why aren't you a detective yet?
You could be Detective Third Grade by now. What are you waiting for?
Because I've known 2 detectives, one of whom is related by marriage, and they were both burnt out as fuck. Like, approaching "Bringing Out the Dead" levels of burnt.
And then /k/ would truly be filled with a bunch of edgy fags.
>>29239667
>>29239691
I thought detectives being "edgy" was just a meme.
Is there such a thing as insurance for protection against civil lawsuits related to self defense? I know there's organizations that will provide a lawyer for your legal defense, but does this apply to civil lawsuits as well? There's also states that prevent suing people who defended themselves from you, but not every state has the decency to provide such a protection.
There's always go fund me, I guess, but I'd rather not end up like Joseph Balistreri.
>>29239523
Umbrella insurance, basically covers you against any lawsuit that comes your way.
>>29239523
Better shoot to kill, dead men don't sue

Now heres the only thing you will most likely need the range has asked that those coming get a year member ship its only $10 for the whole year range is a CMP affiliate so if you want to get a M1 garand they can give you a copy of the range certificate along with a membership card.
I tried to talk them into letting me just pay about $100 so you guys could come for free for the weekend.

Is there seriously a meet happening in emlenton? Holy fuck I live in Parker, count me in.
Things are bad here. Concealed carry permit will take too long and cost too much money with the cost of a gun. I need this just for self protection.
Does /k/ have a guide for diy guns?
do you have a lathe or a drill press?
No? Skip town then.
>>29239400
No, but I have a drill and the ability to press.
>>29239411
not gonna cut it. You need a lathe and a drill press, minimum.
So I went to the range today and tried to use my K31. Already fired before so it's fine. But this time the bolt got stuck without able to close on the last half millimeter or so to fully turn the bolt and now won't move either way, just shifts slightly and that's about it.
So before I end up doing something really stupid to my K31, I'd like to ask on how to get the bolt unstuck and get the chambered round out.
Damn anon, you fucked up
>>29239143
I just need to figure out what happened. Fired perfectly fine before.
>>29239084
have you tried turning it off and on again?
Open carrying on a first date. Anyone ever had any trouble oc'ing in public before? Any angry soccer moms say anything to you?
>OC'ing on a first date
unless you met her at the fucking range, you realize she's going to run away immediately right?
As for if you get into any trouble, friendorfoe.us has reviews from other OC autists like you.
You would be better off wearing a shirt that says..."I have herpes"
>>29239012
Doubt she will think youre cool if you OC
I have a new, if unconventional, battle buddy. What should I name him? Because I am a non-creative POS.
Also, to keep it at least a little bit related, stories of battle buddies past? I have none.
>>29238738
Name him Gimpy the Weird-Footed Lizard.
Alternatively, Steve.
Mr. Snek
>>29238756
>Alternatively, Steve.
Is this a meme?
My girlfriend keeps asking if we can buy weird pets and name them Steve.
What the hell are these bracelets the Secret Service wears?
They also seem to carry a lot of things attached to their belts.
Wrist microphone
>>29238558
I thought it was some kind of concealed tazer.
>>29238587
Well it's not.
/k/, Could you explain how a company gets away with milling a steel pipe. Attaching a stock, trigger mechanism, and bolt. And then selling it for $2000.
How big are the margins on these things?
Does the government tax percentage based upon the diameter of the steel pipe?
I found one at my local Sports store for atleast $3000
Here's the advertisement for it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvYC9qKnd84
>>29238244
Because there are people out there who buy gimmicks like this.
They get away with it because they know they can.
I used to work at a retail gun store where we often had at least one of these in stock. IIRC, we priced it at about $1500 and managed to get about a 8-10 percent profit margin, which was the average markup for the vast majority of our firearm SKUs.

Maybe the Russians can use it on their ships to remove rust!
where can I get this
>>29238397
Oh, maybe the Americans can use it to torture Arabs!
Hey /k/,
What's this thing called again?
The knot
The knot.
>>29238197

Why did the F-86 absolutely shit on the MiG-15 when they were so similar in capabilities on paper?
What advantage was so tremendous that they could pull off a 10-to-1 or even 11-to-1 kill ratio in Korea?
If the planes are close the equals then the only factor is the pilot, for which US pilots had superior training.
>>29238100
Pilot training? There was a YouTube video that compiled the top ten best planes of all time or some shit that actually explained it, but I can't be arsed atm.
Pilot training.
To this day Russian fighters have similar capabilities to our own, however our pilots put in more flight training hours per week than slavs put in an entire year.
Of course that's to be expected when your nation's currency got sanctioned into a 250% drop and you couldn't spend more on defense if the sky rained gold and oil.
So /k/, when is this bloated, useless, overspending piece of memeshit going to get disbanded and airpower relegated to the Navy and Marines like a sensible military?
>>29238044
Is this bait? Because if it is, you have to tell me.
>>29238044
So /k/, when is this bloated, useless, overspending piece of memeshit going to get disbanded and ground power relegated to the Army like a sensible military
>>29238044
Never. They have the icbm's and strategic bombers in there hands.
