What the fuck is wrong with our military and it's fucking stupid uniforms? What was wrong with the USAAF Pinks and Greens?

This is the second time in two years that F.E. Warren has been under investigation: In 2014, missile officers responsible for actually launching those ICBMs were caught cheating on their proficiency tests and also doing a lot of illegal drugs.
Why did it take so long for gun makers to start using double stack magazines? It seems like a pretty simple design. Did somebody patent it in 1890 and then they had to wait for the patent to expire in the 70s?
Lee-enfields had a double stack in 1900. It mostly arises from two things; need and ease of manufacturing. Remember 30rnd magazines for intermediate cartridges didn't become the norm until the 1960s, before then an single stack did just fine because space was not an issue for a lower cap mag.

For the record, he was was quoting what someone had said to him.
>>29302411
Was he? That changes my thoughts on the matter then.
I have a very close friend who lived in west Sacremento ( Its fucking frightening down there.) and he's whiter than fucking white, so hearing this "whites don't know poor" stuff always kills me.
What are /k/'s thoughts on UMP?
Meme trash
Dunno. Personally I think the mp5 is prettier
>>29302279
The CZ EVO3A1 is better and probably cheaper. The only thing the UMP has going for it is the option for .45 ACP chambering and that doesn't really matter to anybody outside of the American market. And the American market prefers AR anyway.
/K/ommandos, convince me that this is not the absolute best SHTF rifle for an American.
Pros:
>Indestructable AK
>Infallible AK
>Ubiquitous AR mags
>Ubiquitous AR ammo
>Square back receiver for easily replaceable furniture
Cons:
>Unnecessarily thick/heavy 1.5mm receiver
>Is an abomination
>Imported by Century?
>>29301834
It's slavshit. Why would an American want one?
>>29301834
It is so unbelievably hideous that I'd actually rather die in a SHTF scenario than use it
>>29301834
If you put a metal side folder and some wood or orange Bakelite on it would look pretty nice.

I don't understand how you have such a low chance of dying/getting hurt as an 11b infantryman. Everyone says that you'll most likely be fine, but how can that be true when your job is to seek out and engage armed terrorists in gunfights? How can a job where you kick down doors and clear buildings be "pretty safe"? Can someone explain this to me?
Hello /k/, I bought an SKS recently and was wondering if you could answer a couple ammo questions.
1. What ammo brands should I avoid? The nearest shop that sells 7.62x39 only had like three brands last I looked; Norinco in grey boxes, PPU, and some other absurdly expensive brand.
2. Is it cheaper to buy ammo in bulk online and eat the high shipping, or to buy it in person, buying a couple boxes as I need them? The aforementioned store sells 20rd boxes for around $12 a box.
Much appreciated!
>>29300787
Buy in bulk online, always steel, from ammoseek.
Cntrl f. "Free"
Find free shipping that equates to near the top round/per cent.
>>29300787
Have you considered reloading?
>>29300807
Generally I end up being too poor to afford the reloading rigs. Plus I don't think I shoot enough to justify it.

Doesn't talk about them cutting orders anywhere in article.
Mainly because they never actually settled on a number in the first place.
Moreover, even their maximum possible buy wasn't for very many units, definately incapable of contributing to a "death spiral".
Thanks for playing senpai

No wonder, for this price they could buy a Bentley for every resident in China.
What's the chance of getting a waiver for a generally moderate stutter in the Air Force?
You need a waiver for stuttering? And pretty decent you can get a waiver for everything pretty easily. There was this one fatass in my bmt flight who had a stress waiver.

retardation unfortunately is not allow in military. even if your caretaker signed over rights im not sure. but studdering is cause by slow mental development so asvab probably would fail too.
as a handycap person myself i am not aying this to be mean but it needs to be faced
>>29300259
How about you chop that retarded tongue right outta your face. Who needs one when it was given to you defective anyway? Be a man.
Hey /k/
my retarded weed dealer left his gun in my car and im gonna keep it because he has no idea where i live.
the gun is fucked up because it's a .45 single action revolver but he was shooting 44 mag out of it.
there are three 44 mag brass casings stuck inside the revolver that i cant get out and apparently he couldnt either since they're stuck inside.
this is my first gun so im gonna take it to a gunsmith to see if it can be fixed. do you guys think it can be fixed?
It'll probably still function, but don't expect it to win any awards anymore.
Let's get a private gun sale stories thread going.

>Meet the guy in a parking lot. Shoot the shit a bit, says he's legally blind & shouldn't have driven. Has had multiple strokes & has cancer also.

I have two very uneventful stories.
Story 1
>contact seller of a few WWII rifles on a state gun forum, tell him I'm interested in his Enfield
>we chat on the phone for a bit and set up a meeting place, an interstate exit where people normally park to carpool
>his truck shows up, he's probably mid 50's, we greet each other and show driver's licenses and handgun carry permits.
>exchange money and gun, no bill of saleComment too long. Click here to view the full text.

Cool rifle. Where do I buy one in the US?
Daily reminder that the M4 Carbine is the best service rifle in the world.
>>29298567
Nah
>>29298567
Are there people that didn't know?
>>29298567
Before I joined I always considered ARs and by extensions M4s to be outdated and unreliable. After 3 years of using old M16s and seeing the toy-like M4 being carried around I joined a new unit and got one of my own. Shit was tight and light. That machine never once jammed on me, even when I would burst hundreds of blanks through it.

He's awfully critical of a gun he isn't even using the right ammo for.
>>29298422
That is seriously the coolest shotgun ever if it weren't for the drawbacks Ian outlines in the video. If it were designed for 2 3/4 and didn't have that retardedly long-stroke slide, it would be a pretty good contender. Unfortunately it wasn't, so a Mossy 500 will work until something better comes along.
What ian did in the video was like taking one of those civilian legal MAC 10 rifles cobray made, loading it with .45 GAP, and then bitching about it becuase you have a fuckhuge, ungainly long arm that doesn't feed or cycle properly.
And then rather than lament the lack of proper ammo, and thr fact that the gun had to be bubba'd to be civilian legal in the USA, he slams the entire concept
Should I buy a Tec9? I hear they always jam. They look cool and fun to use though.

ITT: guns you should hate, but don't.
either individual firearms or a type
There are plenty of guns that I think of as overrated, stupid, ugly, impractical, etc. But I can never bring myself to hate a gun. Just feels too liberal.
Unless the reason to hate it is because it's highly unreliable and it's being marketed as a self defense tool. That shit is scummy and can get innocent people killed.
>>29297451
I can't imagine why any rational person would hate this.
Your bate thread is shit OP.
