What companies make strong boxes for a single handgun?
Also safes general
Safes and 'safes' that you can buy on a whim are just crappy overpriced cardboard boxes.
If its to prevent theft, you are a moran.
If its to prevent kids, you are a shit parent.
If its for storage, you are a moran.
>tl;dr
If you aren't willing to actually protect your property or raise your wife's son, then just get a magnet shelf.
I own a stack-on 8-gun "safe." I live in a shared house with 2 other guys, and my significant other is gun-neutral. I keep it in a closet in my room, mainly to prevent people from touching my guns when I am away. It will not stop theft, it will not hold up to a crowbar. When I get my own house, I will have a proper safe installed and secured in cement. For now, my little box that I carried up 3 flights of stairs by myself will be enough for my needs.

Yes. Rifle, Short, Magazine Lee-Enfield Mark III*, the WW1-simplified version adopted in late 1915.
Any FFL people on here?
I've got my ATF visit on Thursday. I'm breddy nervous, what kind of things will they ask? How can I best prepare?
>>29414228
Post a sign saying what hours you are open if it is kitchen table.
ATF is allowed to visit anytime they want if you don't.
Basically just have a small window sign saying:
Closed: Mon, Tu, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun, and the week of all federal and religious holidays.
Open: Thur 7-8pm

Store your dog somewhere safe until it all blows over. You should be fine.

Isn't there also a rule that you must use it for other reasons than just buying shit for yourself?
Is this what the F-35 was built for?
What the fuck?
Yes.
Dude anime is so fucking stupid holy shit
I'm looking into buying a Cz P09 any objections or anything enter I can get for its price?

It was my first handgun, no regrets what so ever. The back straps are nice, the trigger is nice, and the sights work fine

Thanks that's exactly what I wanted to hear it couldn't find any sp01's so this is my next option
Spring has sprung, this year's shooting competition season begins. I'll be shooting my first match of the year on April 9th.
I'd been shooting every other week over the winter, 50-100 rounds each, mostly trying to stay under 30 MOA and one-hand shooting (my club seems to fucking love one-hand stages). Every session I also do 2 or 3 F.A.S.T. drills, but I'm pretty confident in my reloads so I don't dwell on them.
Occurred to me I might ask /k/ for advice on improving. So /k/, how do you prepare for competitions and the possibility of CC adventures?
Courtesy bump because no input but relevant to my interests

SASS I assume?
Practice, practice, practice. Reactive targets help a lot (those orange bouncy cube things are great at 7-10 yards). I know a lot of competitors like the 4.5-5" barreled SAA clones but I shoot a Vaquero with the 7 7/8" barrel. I lose like all of a tenth of a second on the draw but it balances nicely and the sight radius improvement helps a lot. I also need to practice the open-and-flip for my coach gun, I always get one shell that doesn't wanna come out that like triples my reload...

Local IDPA offshoot actually, but OP pic reflects the average contestant age.

Analogous situation here: everyone shoots compacts, probably half the people there shoot Glock 19's, but I prefer my DA/SA fullsize.

You and 20 people are being sent to create a militia in libya and provide discreet support to the local army against insurgents
what kind of guns and equipment will you and your militia be carrying?
keep in mind that your choosing has to be reasonable because your presence there is unofficial and illegal. therefore you have to look like a regular arab militia.

So I am a czech/german hybrid kind of person with a decent german, and I was interested in joining Bundeswehr. Mainly because both nations fight for the same things, but Czech army soldiers are equipped with CZ 805 Bren rifles which, however patriotic I want to be about czech engineering, have proven absolute fucking trash in action and they aren't something I would want to be armed with when shit goes down. So apparently as an EU resident who speaks German I should be eligible to join Bundeswehr instead.
But enough about myself, there are questions I wanted to ask-...

What exactly are the issues with the CZ 805 in czech service, it seems like it was slightly rushed but its by no means as shit as the G36
>>29413240
A lot of things. To start with, no bolt catch makes reloading slow. Then there are very frequent jams, mainly double feeds, because the magazine is so badly constructed, which is why they use STANAG mags in later versions. To top that off, there were many reports of the magazines falling out in action. Let that sink in. It also has the ergonomics of a glass shard and is very badly balanced.
>>29413206
You aren't going to see action in either army so why does it matter
G36 are also trash
What does /k/ think of flow-through suppressors?
I'm a bit out of the loop, so apologies in advance if this has been discussed to death already

Mite b cool. Looks like it would be absolutely heinous to clean though.
>>29412645
i agree, I think you would have to buy a sonic cleaner and run some pretty clean powder through it
Which guy has the better setup?
Personal taste. If the weapon is properly zeroed, it shouldn't matter. #2 has probably opted for that because his mask fucks with his cheek weld. #1 just has goggles, so he goes with lower HOB.
>>29412429
no1 has better setup for goggles.
no2 has better setup for gas mask.
See how easy it is?
>>29412429
It all looks rather retarded to me. If it was me I'd mount the optic on the flattop rail and then keep the carry handle irons in my stuff pouch.
I have an opportunity to buy a colt 1903. I am currently nofuns. Is this a reasonable first buy? Pros/cons?
Damn I'd buy one in a heartbeat, I very nice and refreshing start to a collection beyond a Makarov, Glock, SCCY, etc.
I'd go for it.
Pros:
Its a 1903 pocket pistol
Cons:
You don't own this 1903
Depends on the price of course, but that's a sweet piece for a first gun. I bet you'll never get ride of it.
>>29412349
Buy a cheap revolver or 22LR instead.
Disclaimer: I don't know how much money you have to spend or what your offer for this 1903 is.
Hey /k/
Canadian here thinking about buying a Mosin for hunting and general shooting. Are Mosins generally half decent shooters? How important is it to buy one in person? Or is it fine to buy one online?
Any tips/advice appreciated!

That gif turned me into an active shooter.
>>29412361
lol a good ass will do that
>>29412344
>Are Mosins generally half decent shooters?
Sure.
>How important is it to buy one in person?
Not THAT important, there are few ways you can fuck up a mosin out of the box.
>Or is it fine to buy one online?
It's fine.
Hey /k/ I am looking to buy a .45 for home defense, personal defense, edc etc.
before I get attacked for having a small penis or something let me explain. I just really like the recoil on .45's. Lower caliber handguns line .40 and 9mm always seem so snappy an erratic. Obviously I could fix that with range time, but .45's I can pretty much just pick up and shoot with great accuracy. Especially on follow ups.
Right now I am between a few different guns.
If I were to just impulse buy something it would probably be a glock 41. It is cheaper than...

I've had no issues with the px4 full size.
>>29412143
The few berettas I have tried always felt sort of tip heavy. Like they were really unbalanced. I have never tried the px4.
How much did it cost you?
>>29412109
Yeah, that's a real thing, .45ACP has a noticably different kind of recoil conpared to 9mm Luger and .40, the cartridge puts an emphasis on mass over velocity, and this imparts recoil in a different way, some people legit handle .45ACP better because of this.
The FNX is all in all a pretty solid pistol, you won't go wrong with buying one.
When we finally get rid of NFA will all firearms have integrated silencers and select fire? Is there any reason not to?
>>29411994
>When we finally get rid of NFA
Got to love an optimist!
>>29412010
Well we did get rid of AWBs and mag bans nationwide.
>>29411994
>integrated silencers
Probably not, they add complexity and require new tooling. Firearms manufacturers may offer models with integrated, and threaded barrels will certainly enjoy a surge in popularity, but I see plain firearms remaining the majority.
Same thing with select fire, although to a lesser extent. Making a firearm select fire will require some extra machining, and there may not be enough demand for it. Again, manufacturers may offer select fire models, but most are...

Are Aguila mini shells (both slug and shot) decent? Any performance data?
Also anyone know where to get in UK?
They're pretty cool to play with and high quality. The company is Mexican, so I don't know if they export to anyone but the U.S.
>>29411938
Aguila is Mexican Remington. And for anybody who isn't sure how to take this, that's a good thing. I will say, these shells are hella hard to find. And unless you're running a Beretta, these can have cycling issues (mostly in regards to the lack of material in the lifter).
