I'm thinking about refinishing the stock on my SMLE with linseed oil but I don't know if it has already been refinished, and I don't want to destroy the collectors/historical value by refinishing it if it has not been refinished. Can anyone tell if this Lee-Enfield stock has been refinished?
Another picture.
>>29462074
It took permanent modification to fit that scope which means it now has no collectors value
Sand away
Not an expert but it looks original. If you want a nicer looking stock, buy an old drill purpose stock set and restore and finish that. It'll take some work but you can end up with a stock finished to your liking.
So, the Tavor X95 is hitting the streets and... it's not $2000+? (They're selling for $1749 on Gunbroker and a few other sites.) I guess IWI was actually smart and built up a decent supply before shipping out guns to distributors.
That said, why the fuck does it take longer for the ODG and .300 Blackout versions to hit the streets? I can sort of see why the Blackout version would be delayed (gotta fuck with the gas system), but how the fuck does making a rifle green take longer than black or yellow?
I don't buy Jewish products sorry
>>29462062
Maybe there was some issue with the color coming out wrong. Do these things have an improved trigger? If I'm in the market for a bullpup what would motivate me to get the X95 over the (now presumably even cheaper) Tavor?
>>29462062
What's been improved?
What does /k/ think of TYR Tactical? Is their stuff overpriced? Does anyone have experience with their PCs or the extra soft armor for the groin and limbs? Pic related.

Hi Nina, and welcome to /k/!
In the future, please search the catalog for relevant threads before posting, it really helps keep down the clutter. Thank you.

hey /k/ I don't know anything about guns but I found these in our garage and wondered what type of bullets they are? what gun do they go in? they say 045 on the side? my family is pretty antigun so I am surprised I found them. is there any chance they will go off?
1/10 bait
You're gonna have to post a better pic senpai but I'm pretty sure those are atomic so be careful when you get close and whatever you do DON'T TOUCH THEM. No flash either
>>29461805
they don't make atomic bullets I don't know a lot about guns but I'm not pants on head retarded
Hello /k/, bit of an odd question but I'm not sure where else to turn.
Basically I want to get my girlfriends dad something really cool for his 60th and he's always had an eye for the soviet gear and generally likes wearing leather jackets.
So, was wondering if anyone could tell me where to find a jacket like this (I'm in the uk) or if you know the name of this kinda thing or something like it.
I went to /his/ and got a link with a lot of good stuff, but not what I'm looking for, perhaps you lot can help!
>>29461782
Trust me, he'll be tickled pink by an SKS and a trip to the range. All you need to do is let him shoot 7.62x39. He'll be ecstatic and never forget you.
>>29461821
Was thinking of doing something along those lines, but sadly no where around here really does anything like that (sadly) so I thought this would be a generally good idea for him.
>>29461859
Fellow bong here. Surplus especially of the Soviet type is a bit of a speciality. If you are still here to care, I have nothing better to do. Give me 20 minutes or less.
If a similar scenario were to play out in the real world, who would be the most likely to survive?

Solid answer.
Pepper spray or a pocket knife or both for EDC in a major city like LA?
Laws are under 3" blade and no switchblade type.
>>29461625
Listen Meredith, move out of LA county, get your CCW, then carry the pistol of your choice.
>>29461625
Ez anon ez just carry a pistol
>>29461625
FYI, the 3" blade requirement is about concealed fixed-blade knives, and folding knives carried with the blade out carried concealed.
TL;DR just carry a knife like a normal person and there's minimal risk. Also.
>LA
Just kys and save yourself the misery of nignogs or the death by a thousand cuts that is the legal system here.
Britains War Record in WW2 - Nothing to be proud of?
Timeline
1936-1939 - Utter cowardice and craven subservience to the Nazi's
1939 - Declares War on Germany. Seriously thinks about declaring war on the USSR.
1940 - Defeat in Norway
1940 - Defeat in France
1940 - Bankrupt, out with the begging bowl. US sends a load of broken rifles and shitty destroyers in exchange for all of Britains gold. USA intecepts British bullion ship of Ghana and confiscates entire contents. (See Clive Ponting - 1940 Myth and Reality for more info on this...

European (not english native speaker) LEO here.
Hi there /k/,
I´m a LEO in a non gun friendly european country. I am issued a HK USP compact 9mm, which i prefer only to carry on duty, and not when on plain clothes and deep concealment is needed.
For such situations I own a Glock 26. But I fing it quite bulky in the summertime if i want to go with a T-Shirt or light shirt only.
Since i´m not a big guy, quite short and light weight actually, i´m considering to change the G26 for a G43 or G42. Problem is that the G43 might be too similar to the 26...

I'm a cop in Atlanta. My backup is the G43 I added a +2 base plate and find it perfect.
I do have a Walther PPS but find the G43 to be smaller and easier to shoot for me. (duty weapon is G22).
I vote G43 or Walther PPS.
(I prefer the 9mm round though, so I'm biased)
>considering to change the G26 for a G43 or G42. Problem is that the G43 might be too similar to the 26
Seriously?
>>29461019
Nice. I prefer 9mm too. Is what i have always used, and the ammo i cant get free from the government :-)
Have you tried the G26? If in my situation would you trade my G26 for a G43? IS there enough a difference?
I don´t even use a +2 mag (for better conceal)...
Thanks in advance and again.
say for example, NRA's gun insurance. worth it? any other companies that do dedicated gun insurance?
possible to put guns on homeowners insurance? what about for apartments?

>>29460979
I got a NRA life membership for $300 a few months ago. from what I've heard from other people and from ArmsCare is that as long as you have proper documentation (i.e. original receipts of purchase, bills of sale, GOOD PICTURES, dates, store names and locations, purchase prices, and serial numbers) indicating that you actually owned your shit, if you file a claim you have a good chance of getting money back.
if you didn't do any of that and just say you had a pistol stolen from your truck, they won't give you jack.
>The California State Senate voted Wednesday to make it significantly easier to obtain a concealed carry permit.
>Assembly Bill 3520, if signed by the governor, would require law enforcement throughout the state to issue concealed weapon permits to "all qualified applicants."
>The Senate narrowly approved the bill, with unanimous Republican support and that of seven Democrats making the vote 21-18.
