Post guns with the coolest type of action in this thread.
Is spinning a lever action really a thing or is it just a meme to look cool?
Like would it actually work and not result in you shooting yourself in the gun or smacking yourself in the face with the barrel or breaking your hand bones from flipping it?
Would a thing like McCain rigged up on his rifle in The Rifleman that would hit the trigger every time he cocked the rifle and make it fire actually work?

>Is spinning a lever action really a thing
It wasn't historically.
>or is it just a meme to look cool?
It was invented in Hollywood. Does that answer your question?
>Like would it actually work
yes
>and not result in you shooting yourself in the gun
what
>or smacking yourself in the face with the barrel
as long as the barrel is shorter...

>Would a thing like McCain rigged up on his rifle in The Rifleman that would hit the trigger every time he cocked the rifle and make it fire actually work?
yes
It wasn't done historically but it was obviously a functional modification. What, did you think this was done in CGI?
>>29479453
>shooting yourself in the gun
I meant shooting yourself in the gut
Is it harder to work a wide loop gun than a regular gun normally or something and that's why Arnold has two different guns?
How would this guy fare as a modern commander?
He wouldn't.
Modern warfare is a game of technological superiority, proxy wars and harassment tactics.
Back in the day, wars were won with strategy.
>>29478320
If you gave him around a year of training and updating him on modern technology and concepts, probably just fine he was intelligent and bold enough.
Just throw him in command right before a major battle he'd probably suck.

So essentially how Clausewitz depicted it in 1820s
Hello /k/, First time poster here. I started getting into building ARs and I thought building a AR10 would be cool. As I was looking at pictures of AR10s, I saw pic releated and I though it was pretty cool. I was wondering if I would be able to build a AR10 that looks like that. Is it possible?
>>29478307
You won't be able to find an upper/bcg that has that upper changing handle, unfortunately.
Otherwise yes
>>29478326
thanks
It would be difficult to build a true AR10, the parts are rare, almost unicorn tier.
You'd be better off just building an AR with commercially made parts in .308/7.62.

It is an alright rifle used to kill a shitload of sad little Nazis and probably used to sodomize like ALOT of pretty virgin German women once Berlin fell. So thats cool because it make Wehraboos super butthurt.
Besides that, its an alright rifle that shoots alright with a shitty sticky bolt whose only saving grace after the fall of Hitler was that it was dirt cheap firing dirt cheap ammo.
Now they are actually kinda pricey for how shit they are and the ammo has all but dried up. So there isn't...

My mosin shoots @ a hundred yards with groups nearly an inch apart dead center
Just stop being bad at shooting
Do you guys shoot outside of designated gun ranges?
Sometimes. In Oregon BLM land and state forests are open to shooting with a few provisions.
I used to with my friend. But now it's ranges only.
To me going out onto a piece of land and just shooting how you like, mindful of safety of course, will always be how shooting is supposed to be done.
>>29477977
The world is our shooting range Timmy!
I am going to buy my first pistol soon, I will only be able to use it at the range or eventually at home, I won't be able to carry it since it is impossible to obtain a permit for it ( living in Belgium ).
I have selected these 5 guns because the price is reasonable, I guess ( I am no ready to pay for a 2k€ Sig P226 desu ).
It would be nice to have your opinions if you had the possibility to shoot with them or even if you have suggestions for other guns.
CZ SP09
CZ P07
Beretta 92 FS
Beretta 92 SB
CZ P-09
Beretta 92fs>CZ p09
I'd roll with the beretta they shoot well and mags are probably available for you maybe even the extended ones for funsies.
I've shot most of these and like the cz p-07 and 09 the most. I just find them better feeling.

What about the size ? Do you have big hands and if so, aren't they too small ?
Is there anyone on /k/, that legally owns a gun?
What are the restrictions for you guys? I thought your entire country banned guns but I'm being told it is only London
Can you have semi-automatic rifles?
>britcucks
>able to own legal funs

>>29477727
>Is there anyone on /k/, that legally owns a gun?
I own quite a few with little restriction beyond no full auto.
Not British though.
There's two million registered firearms in the uk about 1.3 million are shotguns
Can we get a thread of people exercising the right to defend their homes/properties/cars.
It gives me feels everytime knowing we can defend ourselves.
I know that feel bro. Lurking..
I'm a European refugee immigrated to Glorious United States of America. The first year here I got my conceal carry permit and don't go anywhere without my carry gun. I wanted to serve too but they wouldn't take me because of past lung problems.. I love this country I wish i could vote though. Still waiting to get my citizenship this year then I'll maybe get it in time to vote against democrats.

Powered by an active Air force and missile systems, Pakistan military is always ready to tackle internal and external offenses. It is mostly relying on producing own crafts, tanks and missiles rather than relying on foreign powers. Nuclear capability makes the might more stronger and wets the Indian pants.

Questions That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread.
Looking to get something to get me away from my AR fatigue, should I pull the trigger on a Wasr-10 or a 308 battle rifle while I have the cash?
>>29477448
308 battle rifle fulfills a distinctly different role, probably the better choice overall.
How much cash you got pham? There's a big dollar gap between most battle waffles and the WASR.

Steel vs Polymer mags /k/
Why is polymer so popular now ? Is the plastic so fantastic now ? Are there any upsides to polymer mags besides weight ?
Enlighten me /k/
>>29477411
It's Cheap and Available.
>>29477439
I found unissued surplus Colt steel mags for 11 bucks, would you say it's price competitive with similar quality polymer ones ?
>>29477469
pmags are a great and plentiful standard. There are some very dubious aluminum mags on the market so people stay away from most of them. I have some steel HK AR mags that are quite literally almost twice the weight of a loaded pmag.
Other than weight, I like the plastic because it rattles less, doesn't make annoying noises when they scrape up against each other, and generally are more fun to toss around.
