Hey /k/ I found this at a garage sale, apperantly it isn't a real gun the lady told me it was from 1935 and belonged to her father, has a dirty old box and here is the piece taken apart, no firing pin or anything
Is this just a cheap replica type toy or what do I have?

lol
New Zealand lad here. Thinking of getting my firearms license soon. What should I get for my first rifle? SKS? Mosin? I'm kind of a poor fag and can't drop much into a gun.
>>29510336
>SKS
They ain't pretty. Most SKS's available are Norinco/Chicom (very few Russians/Com blocs) and quality isn't great. That said it they are cheap to buy ($300-400nzd) and feed.
My SKS is a 16inch "paratrooper" so for A Cat you won't get a sweet as bayonet and the sights were canted...
>Mosin
Well there were a few around about two years ago but I haven't seen too many about for sale lately.Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
I don't know but can you guys get handguns or revolvers with your licenses in your country?
>>29510534
Yes, but the limitations around their use are quite restrictive.
Oh I forgot to mention;
>>29510469
>SAIGA
You can get a new saiga for around $800nzd. I was gonna do this but bought my bolt gun instead. Had to source a good conversion kit fom the USA to do it justice.

Because he's a try hard.
Which one has the better potential over the other in terms of aftermarket?
An XDS in 9mm
I have a shield but have never played with the clock 43. I like my shield a lot however. It is nice to have a safety that is easier turned off during the draw.

Where is the upvote button on this thing
Hello /k/.
Let's talk archery for noobs.
I'm in the market for a solid, cost-effective (not necessarily cheap. Definitely not cheaply made) recurve or longbow that I can carry with me innawoods.
Do you guys have any recommendations? Good brands? Anything?
I used to shoot arrows in my backyard with a Lil' Sioux when I was a kid. Now I want an adult bow.
>inb4 just gun
I have plenty of those.
Thanks
I've heard good things about the samick sage. Price isn't too bad and you can replace the limbs for different draw weights.
I have a recurve bow in my room that my Grandpa made before he died. I've never strung it up, and I don't even know what kind of bow string I would use. It's also very awkward to grip, and no matter which way I hold it, in either hand it never seems comfortable.

you can make reliable 40-60lb+ bows with this dude's methods, totally legit too
I posted in the other thread, I have a buddy who regularly hunts with a pvc bow and he's scored multiple through and throughs on whitetail
>You will never be an international arms dealer
>>29509517
A good thing.
I'd end up shooting the entire pile of ammo I was meant to deliver along the way.

Not with that attitude you won't.
Let's get a good late night spoo/k/y thread going komrades.
bump for love of these threads

Bumpirino. These threads make me want to shoot shit

and this is why we need to bring back napalm.
for someone living in NM, I don't have any skinwalker stories, so this is just a shameless bump.
How shit are handguard-mounted optics? I can't get over how sexual this is.
It just werks.
>>29509082
That looks nice. Any issues holding zero?

within a hundred meters? useful against most men. past that it's garbage.
What are your thoughts on the scout rifle concept? Meme rifle or dream rifle? One man's outdated fantasy, or a lost art?
>>29508903
How is putting the scope further up any better than just putting it where it is supposed to go?
>>29508903
Red dot or just good old irons seems better.

AK-47?
Where the fuck do they get ammo?
Are there really still stockpiles of this!?
>>29508757
Probably not anymore. Pic is years old.

>Where the fuck do they get ammo?
Prvi Partizan.
What guns do you consider must haves for your collection? Rifles, shotguns, and pistols are all fair game.
Pic related, my SKS D model with a 20 round mag. I'm 19 and she's the only fun I own right now. Was wondering what else I should get. Preference towards guns I could actually shoot whenever I want and handguns that fit well in big hands, because I have big hands. Guns I am thinking about include a nugget, an Enfield No. 4 Mk 1, and then later on a Glock and/or a 1911 of some kind. Thoughts?
>>29508659
a 1911 is necessary. glock not so much these days since there's so many alternatives.
at least one bolt action rifle, at least one lever rifle, at least one shotgun, and at least one magnum revolver.
for practicality you need at least one full size handgun and one pocket size handgun, and a semi automatic rifle in .223, .308, or 7.62x39
A good semiautomatic intermediate carbine.
A good bolt action .308 or higher.
A good dedicated CCW pistol.
A good larger pistol, not necessarily full size but with regular capacity.
A good pump or semi shotgun in 20 or 12ga.
A good .22lr rifle, semi preferred but lever/bolt/pump acceptable.
Those are the bare bones basics. The basic bitch starter kit for this list is: AR15, Savage/Tikka boltgun, Shield 9, Glock 19, Mossberg 500, Ruger 10/22. But anything will work.
M1 Garand, 1911, Mossy 590(A1), AR-15, AK variant of some sort, a bolt gun above .300, and a concealed pistol of choice
Yep, it's an AK-47
>>29508650
If god existed he would pull the trigger
>>29508663
You shouldn't dry fire an AK without the bolt in.

was your abusive father fat or were you the fat one fatty mcburger lardass faggot
Now listen to me /k/, I'm asking you because I feel like the pussies on /mu/ would all just say to get the guitar because half of them are liberal as fuck.
The reason this is even a thing is because back home, we have like three .22 rifles we inherited, but my dad doesn't really shoot guns. So I could buy a guitar, and then just take one of the .22s as my own. Or I could buy a Ruger 10/22, and also a guitar.
why not buy a larger caliber rifle
take a 22
then wait a bit and buy a nice guitar.
win, win, win
>>29508496
do you already have a guitar?
if yes:
>good, you have one, now fucking buy a real gun
speaking as a guy with 7 guitars;
you only need one
Guns could get banned
Guitars never will
