What are the arguments against this weapon other than being too expensive.
>Insanely Accurate
>Very reliable
>Great ergos
It's no more accurate than a regular AR 10 with a good barrel, and its got a piston so it doesn't mitigate recoil as well. Due to the design of it being an AR the piston also tends to beat the bolt carrier up. It's still a pretty good rifle, all things considered.
>>29539705
I would say the increased reliability cancels out the recoil problem. Also if I am not mistaken the whole AR piston beating itself to death really only applies to half ass systems. The HK system which was designed from the ground up to be piston does not suffer from these issues.

>its got a piston so it doesn't mitigate recoil as well
According to someone who owns far more AR pattern 7.62 rifles than you, the MR762 is one of the softest shooting rifles available.
How important is food in battle? For example. what would you change by replacing all the WW2 rations with today's balanced and nutrious rations?

It's more like the continuation of CoD makers ripping off everything and anything they can, because they have zero originality.

Guys! I have gone out and bought my first gun for $850. I got the 10 clips of ammo free, but they said I had to Garand finger myself. But I got free ammo and my hand hurts. Also the number on the buttstock is 320. Don't know if there is any relevance in that number. Did I do good /k/?

Sup /k/
Been tossing around the idea of moving to Chicago in the future. I know its one of those meme gun law cities but I'm trying to figure out how bad it really is.
Any fellow /k/omandos out there in Chiraq right now? Whats it like and how many guns do you have with you there?
I'm not super democrat or republican so I'm sure political crap wouldn't bother me. I'm from Ohio where almost anything goes so I assume this is gonna be a little bit of a change for me. Does Chicago have CCW and will mine transfer over?
Also I'm a Paramedic so I think being able to carry on the job would be nice. I know for a fact I'd get some kevlar at the minimum.
No one? I thought there might be one or two people on here....

There are plenty, we just don't care.
While discussing locations for the summer Cali meet with brzfag on Slack, I discovered that we might totally be able to take over an old ghost town for a weekend and go shooting nearby. This idea made my dick diamonds instantly. The town was abandoned in the 50s and consists of a 3-story hotel building that remains in great shape and several smaller cabins and buildings in various stages of disrepair, in addition to tons of old mining structures and equipment, and is known for 2spooky happenings and awesome hiking.
>So what's the catch?
I have no idea whether it can happen or not, but it looks like the stars might just align in time for a meetup in late June.
There are usually visitors, but not in the national park sense, the place is very loosely regulated but campers and the like stop by on the weekends.
A scouting meetup is planned for the 29th of April (Date may change) for the day to locate good shooting spots within 1/2 mile of the town and how many of the structures are suitable for stalker'ing.
>Where the fuck is this?
The middle of fucking nowhere in Norcal. Draw a triange between Redding, Sac, and Reno and it falls in the mountains of Plumas county. There's literally no major towns that I can point out nearby.
>So what's the plan?
The scouting meet on the 29th will find out if the site is suitable, and report back with pictures and maps, I will call up the local ranger rick and make sure everything we'll be doing is on the level, and then the final date, schedule, and information gets released along with what needs to get brought to make sure we all have a good time.
To get involved, reply to this post with your burner email and I or another admin will add you to our Slack.
SOCAL BROS: There is now a dedicated channel in Slack for meetups in the LA-SD area.
Is this on BLM land, National Forest, etc.?
Damn, I will be out of town when this is going down. I hope NorCal meet ups can continue o happen, I'll definitely try to make the next one
I was thinking about islands being considered 'unsinkable' aircraft carriers and I was wondering. The main drawback is that the islands are immobile, but there are a ton of small little islands scattered around the Pacific, right? Couldn't you install large screw propellers into one of them and get it mobile so you could convert one into a mobile aircraft carrier? There'd be huge benefits to having a "ship" that couldn't be destroyed or sunk, and could field large numbers of carrier attack groups.
How did I not think of this?
Islands are connected under the water to the continental plates. They aren't just floating there. If this was possible we could have made california into an aicraft carrier before the rot set in.
Brits are already on it.
So /k/, I'm taking a trip to the European Caliphate this summer with some friends and I need some extra cash to spend on beer while laughing at the circumstances of the average European. I'll be meeting my friends in Texas first before we leave from an international airport.
Recently I had the wacky idea of drifting around Texas and offering my services to ranchers who have an issue with feral hogs. It sounds like a fun way to spend some time, blast some creatures, and maybe even make a little money. So I ask:

How often should I change out self defense ammo?
I've had the same HST rounds in my gun for six months now.
While I have no doubt that they will all still fire, they are now a much darker color from the brand new ones.
I know this probably has zero effect on their performance, but at what point do you guys change out your carry ammo?
I change them when I got shooting. I just fire the mag of defense ammo out of it, and the put new ammo in afterwards.
Thay way it gets cycled and I get to shoot with my defensive ammo somewhat regularly.
>>29539072
I shoot my carry ammo once a month simply because of my environment. Lots of humidity, wet , etc. etc.
And while it's expensive it gives me a much better understanding of how that ammo shoots at any given day.
So far I've only had one failure to fire and that was what started this whole thing. I carried the same Speer rounds for 8 months. Could have been any number of issues, but figured better safe than sorry.
>>29539072
You should sometimes take it out to the range and just shoot it to see if you actually had a malfunction or not.

The Outer Space Treaty bans any country with space exploration capabilities from using Biological, Nuclear, and Chemical WMDs in orbit or in space.
However. The US has been interested in kinetic bombardment utilizing solid tungsten rods being dropped from orbit using the Earth's gravity to achieve terminal velocity. Simulations put the impact force comparable to the blast seen at Nagasaki. This would also not violate the OST because the rods are simple inert objects. The US called the project "Rods from God".

>The Outer Space Treaty bans any country with space exploration capabilities from using Biological, Nuclear, and Chemical WMDs in orbit or in space.
Bullets are not biologial, nuclear, or chemical WMDs and could be used to shoot satellites or other spacecraft

Bit of both, he made boneheaded decisions to be sure but a lot of German generals after the war passed blame onto him.

You decide.
Also I have read that the British government cancelled its assassination bounties on him later in the war because it was believed that whoever took command of the military would have been more effective and could have prolonged the fighting.
