We are coming along with the new shop, sorry we couldn't make it to the last meetup... just had to get some heavy lifting handled.
Shit is coming along.
Oh, and I actually got the partners in the shop to go along with having an actual pedestal with a bowl full of dicks (dilldos) to offer dissatisfied customers for their consumption..
Its a dream come true.
whats the point of using the bayonet in this day and age? isnt it much easier just to pull the trigger?
What caliber has killed the most people? Alot of people would say 762x39 but I would be willing to make an argument for 8mm
>live in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas
>wanted to be a detective for a while
Would it be terrible idea to try and join the Dallas PD now, after these shootings?
It seems either course could be perfectly logical - Either :
A. They are desperately in need of more cops and are willing to take anyone.
B. They are being flooded by applications because of the shootings and won't need more cops.
Or should I just call their HR and ask?
Well, Dallas PD is ALWAYS hiring, even before this, and it was hard to tell if they'd be in lower demand now with recent recruits, or if people would be completely running away from LEO jobs in DFW.
I usually get straightforward answers from HR on the phone since there's only so much information a standard website can provide.
You probably realize it but to be a detective you will need several years on with big departments and MANY with smaller departments. There is very high turnover for detective jobs in big cities.
Anyone have any recommendations for a good affordable river diving knife?
SEALpup is good. Partial serrations, nice textured grip made of hard plastic which is good for underwater, some kind of coating that has really held up against water with just minimal care. The pupper knife has never failed me.
Alright /k/, is there a guide to the 3 types of actions that a pistol can have? If not, lets make one.
Is a Makarov a good idea? They are selling one at the local gunstore for 250. The only other gun I have is a pump action .22.
i just learned how to fire the 22 my gramps gave it to me before he passed I had no idea 22s were such a meme weapon until now
is it really as bothersome to find ammo for the makorov?
And that gun looks cool i just dont think they have it
So according to the media, this is an AK 74.
How can we educated them?
Are there any /practical/ keyring items you'd put on your ring for an emergency? I currently have a Resqme belt-cutter/glass punch and pepperspray; both of which have a release system to quickly get them off the keychain. Pic related.
>mfw people still actually buy a FairDank-Memes chaning knife
My god man, they were a delicious hot little meme in the 40s but now they arent even a Smug Pepe or Wojak tier blade.Grow up and get a real knife like a Gerber.
Alright /k/, I'm now looking to own a pistol for concealed carry self defense. I've always put it off, but seeing the nig uprising across the states has made me finally decide to get one. I've always loved the design of revolvers, and saw this one at a local Academy for $329 and it looks decently sized for a concealed carry weapon while still looking powerful. Keep in mind I've never shot an actual gun before but I know they're loud as fuck and have a lot of recoil. Is this a decent self defense weapon? Can I do better?
I'd avoid it, step up to a Ruger LCR or SP101, optionally a S&W 642
The Taurus is cheap, sure, but when it comes to their revolvers and polymer framed guns, quality is all over the place on many of them.
Look for a better used gun instead.
Let's say someone farted and bullets started flying, what kind of thing would happen here in the envorinment of this picture?
Units would shot the shit out of each other, stop, and both sides governments would express DEEP CONCERN.
Fuck man, that early in the cold war the US and USSR were splashing each others fighters all the fucking time.
Do you guys also worry that your fondness for shooting will end up with you having arthritis? I read that sculptors get arthritis from constantly knocking their hands, so I am guessing the same goes for recoil.
is riot gear /k/?
Are shore-based anti ship missiles a good deterrent for invasion for a country without a real navy, assuming they're part of a larger defense strategy?
Hard mode; assuming the 'defending' country has no good airforce either
Its a decent deterrent as long as you dont piss off somebody enough that they decide that its worth the risk. Doubly so for hard mode.
If you are shooting at ships in a wartime scenario from land, you already lost, because the ships have been shooting at you for a long time.
